Bowdoin 12, Springfield 6
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-1 first-quarter lead and cruised to an eventual 12-6 win over Springfield College on Tuesday evening in a game played in North Andover, Mass. The Polar Bears improve to 5-4 by tying their season-high goal total (12). The Pride drop to 3-7 this season.
Bowdoin was led by three players who scored a pair of goals each. Kevin Mullins scored twice with an assist, while Thadd Welch and Alex Weaver both found the back of the net on two occasions. Springfield was led by four goals from Jake Beebe.
The Polar Bears, who led 7-3 at halftime and 8-4 after three periods, got nine saves in net from Charlie Legg. Kyle Cloutier was the netminder for Springfield, stopping 16 shots.
