BOSTON - Junior Lauren Morton scored five goals, including the 100th point of her career, to push the Boston University lacrosse team to a 19-5 victory over Binghamton on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field. The Terriers improve to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in America East play.

Senior Angie Martin recorded four assists to move into third place all-time at BU in career assists, while junior Molly Collins, sophomore Sarah Dalton and freshman Traci Landy each tallied three goals apiece. Morton also recorded game highs in draw controls (7) and caused turnovers (3).

After the Terriers scored the game's first four goals, the visitors responded with three straight tallies to get within one with 21:22 left in the first half. BU, however, reeled off nine straight goals as part of a 15-1 run to easily secure the victory.

Binghamton, which got two goals apiece from junior Leanne Musso and freshman Erika Travis, falls to 1-10 overall with an 0-5 conference mark. Junior goalkeeper Sandra Alvarez made 12 saves.

The Terriers will return to action on Wednesday, April 18, when they visit Vermont for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
