WORCESTER, Mass. – The fourth-ranked Bryant University men's lacrosse team picked up an 18-5 Northeast-10 Conference win at Assumption College Tuesday night. The win, Bryant's seventh in-a-row improves the team's record to 7-2 on the season and remains perfect on the season in league play at 6-0.

Sophomore Bryan Kaufmann (Putnam Valley, NY) led the way for the Bulldogs with five goals and two assists in the game while classmate Matt McKeefrey (Melville, NY) added four goals with Kevin Hoagland (Glastonbury, Conn.) chipping in with a pair of goals and two assists.

Bryant, which has not lost a game since March 3, led 7-1 after one quarter of play and took a 12-1 lead into the locker room at the half. The Bulldogs, which never trailed in the game, got a goal from Kaufmann, his second of the night, at the 8:50 mark of the first to break a 1-1 tie. The goal would help kick-start an 11 goal outburst by the Bulldogs as Kaufmann would add his third of the game with under five minutes left in the first to make it 5-1.

McKeefrey, who joined Kaufmann on this week's Northeast-10 Honor Roll after scoring six goals in two games prior to tonight, would score three goals in the third and the Bulldogs would not look back.

Michael Kennedy (Port Jefferson Station, NY) would pick up his seventh win of the season, making five saves before giving way to freshman Daniel Schloss (Simsbury, Conn.) later in the fourth.

The Bulldogs out-shot the Greyhounds 39 to 25 in the game and were successful on 11 of 17 clear attempts on the night.

Bryant will travel to Southern New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
