No. 6 Hamilton Cruises by St. John Fisher

CLINTON, N.Y. -- Audrey Nebergall '10 scored a season-high five goals and Kaillie Briscoe '09 was credited with a career-high six assists to help lead nationally ranked No. 6 Hamilton College to a 17-4 non-league win against visiting St. John Fisher College at Campus Road Athletic Field on April 29.

Hamilton (13-2 overall) set a program record for most wins in one season as the Continentals recorded their 13th straight victory. Hamilton is ranked first in the New York region by the NCAA while St. John Fisher (11-5) is ranked third. This is the first meeting between these two programs.

Briscoe added one goal and three draw controls. She leads the Continentals with 66 points. Nicole Tetreault '08 chipped in four goals and one assist. Tetreault has scored a team-high 48 goals this year.

Inga Stots '07 added three goals for Hamilton. Liz Rave '10 contributed two goals, one assist and three draw controls. Kate Marek '09 passed out one assist, won four draw controls and caused one turnover. Kalley Greer '07 made 10 saves on 14 shots on goal while Kate Fowler '10 stopped both shots she faced in relief of Greer late in the second half.

Haley Koperski '07 and Theresa Nobilski '07 paced the Cardinals' offense with one goal and one assist apiece. Nobilski also picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers. Both Laurie Quackenbush '08 and Lauren Glavin '10 (Corcoran HS) tallied one goal.

Briscoe gave the Continentals an early 1-0 lead on her 34th goal just 46 seconds into the first half. St. John Fisher responded with three straight goals to grab a 3-1 advantage. Hamilton roared back with four consecutive scores and took the lead for good. Tetreault's second goal of the contest with 18:46 left in the half put the Continentals up 5-3.

Glavin pulled the Cardinals back to within one goal 55 seconds later, but that proved to be the last time St. John Fisher scored. Hamilton notched the final four goals of the half for a 9-4 lead at the break. Greer, Fowler and the Continentals' defense held the Cardinals scoreless in the second half.

Hamilton is the No. 1 seed for the Liberty League championships tournament and will host the event on Friday, May 4, and Saturday, May 5.
