Merrimack Names Corinne Baker New Head Coach

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Merrimack College is pleased to announce that Corinne Baker has been named the new Women's Lacrosse Head Coach. The announcement was made Monday by Interim Athletic Director Joe Iarrobino. A former standout lacrosse player at Bridgewater State, Baker spent 2007 as an assistant coach at Bryant University, coaching the Bulldogs to a 9-6 record.

At Bridgewater State, she was the school leader for points, assists and free positions, while starting all four seasons at center. Baker led all of Division III in draw controls as a freshman and holds records at BSC for most draw controls in a game, season, and career. She was an All-Conference Second Team selection in 2003 and an All-First Team in 2004.

Baker coached at the University of New England (Southern Maine) in 2006 and at Mansfield High School in 2004. She also spent time at Commonwealth Lacrosse in Weymouth, Massachusetts in the summer of 2006 and coached the inaugural BSC Lacrosse Clinic in 2005.
