New Director of Sport Development Joins US Lacrosse

BALTIMORE – US Lacrosse has hired Brian Reese as Director of Sport Development. Reese comes to US Lacrosse from the University of Maryland Terrapin Club. Prior to working with the Terps, Reese served as the first General Manager for the Denver Outlaws (MLL).

Reese's position provides overall management of the development, implementation and evaluation of various playing opportunities, and educational and outreach programs for US Lacrosse. Reese will provide departmental management and oversight for US Lacrosse's various programs and initiatives including: the Equipment Grant Program, Native Vision Partnership, New Start Program, Fast Break Initiative, College Play Initiative, Post-Collegiate Club Start-Up Manual Initiative, Sportsmanship Card Initiative, Youth Development Initiatives, BRIDGE Initiative, Coaching Education Program, and Officials Training Initiatives. Reese will also serve as the primary US Lacrosse liaison to the Sport Science and Safety Committee.

Reese is originally from the Baltimore area and has been involved as a player from the youth level through college and into the professional ranks. His fundamental understanding and appreciation for the game also carries over to the women's game as his wife Cathy, is the current head coach for the women's team at the University of Maryland.
