Marist College Signs Nine to NLIs for 2008-2009

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Women's lacrosse Head Coach Noelle Cebron announced the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to attend Marist beginning in the fall of 2008.

The members of the 2012 women's lacrosse class are Kelly Condon (Abington, Pa.), Lauren Cobb (Dewitt, N.Y.), Lauren Hall (Carmel, Ind.), Jori Proccacini (Hackettstown, N.J.), Kelsey Heckler (Fallston, Md.), Shannon Haas (Farmingdale, N.Y.), Alyssa Littin (Coronado, Calif.), Ariel Kramer (West Genesee, N.Y.), and Kelsey Thoms (Newark, N.Y.)

"The entire program is excited to welcome this amazing group of young women into the Red Fox Family," Marist Head Coach Noelle Cebron said. "Their tremendous passion and love of the game will be evident as soon as they step on the field next fall. I am more than confident that all nine newcomers will be extremely successful, both academically and athletically, and I can't wait to see them grow."

Kelly Condon – Abington, Pa./Abington – Defense

Kelly Condon is a four-year member of the Abington High School varsity women's lacrosse team and a member of the Ultimate Goal club team. Condon is a two time First Team All-League selection and Defensive Team MVP. She also is a two year member of the Upper Atlantic Schoolgirls National Team. Condon also led her team in ground balls as a sophomore and junior, and has been named team captain for the second straight year. She has also been a National Honor Society member since 2006. Condon's sister Megan played lacrosse at Temple alongside Marist Head Coach Noelle Cebron.

Condon on Marist: "Marist offers a great education, beautiful campus and a growing lacrosse program."

Lauren Cobb – Dewitt, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt - Midfielder

Cobb is a member of the Jamesville-Dewitt High School lacrosse team, and a 2007 Academic All-American. The midfielder was also named All-League in ‘06 and ‘07. She is also a year captain, and was named the team MVP after the 2006 season. A member of the Central New York Elite Lacrosse Club under Head Coach Doug Rowe, Cobb was named All-Galaxy First Team in '07. She also is a member of the Schoolgirls National Team. In 2004 she won the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence.

Cobb on Marist: "I chose Marist because the lacrosse program is very strong and competitive, as well as the school having a great academic reputation. The team gave off a great vibe when I visited."

Lauren Hall – Carmel, Ind./Cathedral High School – Midfield

Lauren Hall is the first player born in the state of Indiana to go on to play Division I women's lacrosse, and a 2007 All-American Honorable Mention. She is a National Honor Society member and is part of the Midwestern Force club team. In 2007, Hall was a First Team All-State selection and captain of her Cathedral team. She chose Marist because, "It was a perfect fit in terms of academics, lacrosse, and location."

Jori Procaccini – Hackettstown, N.J./West Morris – Midfielder

A three year co-captain and First Team All-Area '07 selection at West Morris High, Procaccini was a member of the 2006 and 2007 Upper Atlantic Schoolgirls National Team. A member of the National Honor Society and a Black Belt in Karate, Procaccini will reunite with high school teammate and current Red Fox Stephanie Garland (Long Valley, N.J.).

Procaccini on Marist: "I chose Marist because it has a great Psychology program, and it has a greatly improved lacrosse program which I believe can win a MAAC title."
