DELAWARE, OH – The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team defeated Ohio Wesleyan University 13-5 on Sunday afternoon in Delaware, Ohio. LC went into the half with a 7-5 advantage behind three first-half goals by Kyle McGuire (Burke, VA/Robinson). The Hornets would go on to outscore the Battlin' Bishops 6-0 in the second half to earn the victory. Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) tallied four goals, Johnny Black (Timonium, MD/St. Paul's) contributed with two goals, while Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) added on two scores and one assist.

Taylor Stehlgens (New Vernon, NJ/Madison) added three helpers while Stephen Weis (St. Louis, MO/Christian Brothers) and Michael Mundorf (Catonsville, MD/Mt. Saint Joseph) each tacked on a goal and an assist. Garrett Curran (Hull, MA/Tabor Academy) played 58:30, allowing five goals and recording 17 saves while Norby King (Bryn Mawr, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) went 8-11 on face-offs.

Harrison Iuliano scored twice for OWU and Chris Eccles tallied two assists. Ryan Perone allowed 13 goals and recorded 10 saves. Lynchburg outshot OWU 36-31, went 4-12 on extra man opportunities, and won nine of 20 face-offs. Lynchburg (2-0) will play their home opener on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. against Neumann College.
