Greensboro Falls to 0-3 After Loss to Muhlenberg
Greensboro, N.C. -- Kyle Farris scored 4 goals as Muhlenberg College defeated Greensboro College, 12-6, on Sunday. Muhlenberg is now 2-0 while The Pride dropped to 0-3.
The Mules scored first but GC responded with unassisted goals by Brandon Savage and Nick Patrone and held a 2-1 lead after the first period. Patrone ended with 2 goals and Savage scored and assisted once.
Muhlenberg outscored GC 4-0 in the second quarter and held a 5-2 lead at the half. The visitors built a 6-2 advantage before The Pride countered with tallies from Neal Mckinney and Jose Rodriguez. Brian Bishop got his first of two assists of the game on McKinney's goal. Savage assisted Rodriguez.
The Mules then netted the game's next 7 goals. MC out shot GC 27-32 and won 11 face offs to 10 for The Pride.
GC's Matt Leach had a career high 18 saves for Greensboro.
