DeSales Drops Second Straight, 13-8 at Kean
Union, NJ (March 1, 2008) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team has stared the season with two straight losses falling to Kean University, 13-8, on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Junior Matthew Brancaccio (Greenvale, NY/North Shore) led the way with three goals and one assist in the loss. Also scoring goals were senior Jay Young (Pittstown, NJ/North Hunterdon), junior Andrew Ervin (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy), freshman Donald Clemens (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin), freshman Phil Mander (Haverford, PA/Haverford) and senior John Tosco (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees).
Brancaccio and freshman Whit Bruemmer (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) each added assists. Senior Sam Gobeli (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) had a team-high six ground balls and Clemens added five ground balls in the loss.
DeSales returns to action on when they play Misericordia University on Thursday, March 6th in Myrtle Beach, SC.
