PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Leigh Tedeschi (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury HS) scored the game-winning goal with 32 seconds left in overtime to cap a furious comeback and lift Bentley to a 15-14 win over Philadelphia University on Friday afternoon in non-conference Division II women's lacrosse action at Ravenhill Field. The Falcons evened their record at 1-1 after reversing their score from Wednesday's season opener, while the Rams dropped to 1-1.
Bentley trailed 13-4 in the contest, but scored 10 unanswered goals to take a one-goal lead going into the final minute of play. The Rams got an equalizer in the waning seconds to send the game to overtime and the score remained knotted at 14-14 until the final minute of the extra frame, when Tedeschi netted her third of the year to send the Falcons off with the victory.
