The teams exchanged goals three more times in the first half before the Tigers ended the stanza with a pair of goals from junior midfielder Britt Woodfield (South Carroll H.S./New Windsor, Md.) and sophomore Steph Taylor (Cocalico H.S./Denver, Pa.) for a 10-6 half-time edge.

Leading by four to start the second half, the Tigers went on an 8-1 run over the first 13 minutes of the period to take a commanding 18-7 lead with 16:34 remaining. Junior attacker Meggie McNamara (Fayetteville-Manlius H.S./Fayetteville, N.Y.) and sophomore midfielder Nikki Marcinik (Southern H.S./Deale, Md.) scored twice during the run.
