BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (Mar. 16, 2008) – The C.W. Post women's lacrosse team scored 11 first half goals and went on to defeat Georgian Court, 17-3, in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon on Hickox Field.

C.W. Post stays undefeated to improve to 3-0 while Georgian Court falls to 1-1.

The Pioneers scored five goals in the first five and a half minutes, with three coming from junior attacker Jaclyn Napoli (West Islip, N.Y.).

C.W. Post spread its lead to 11-2 at the half. Junior attacker Katie Hogan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) added two goals before the break.

The Pioneers continued to outscore the Lions in the second half by a 6-0 margin. Sophomore midfielder Brianna Jackolski (Shirley, N.Y.) scored back-to-back goals, including a free-position shot that made it 12-2 in favor of the Pioneers.

Hogan finished the game with three goals and three assists while senior attacker Jenna Miller (Silver Spring, Md.) had two goals and four assists. Junior midfielder Samantha Lyons (Farmingdale, N.Y.) tallied one goal and assisted on three goals for the Pioneers.

Georgian Court's Natalie Bermudez scored a goal in each half to lead the Lion offense.

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Scipione (East Meadow, N.Y.) made nine saves in goal to improve her record to 3-0. Georgian Court's Christine Latteri and Jillian Pennington combined to make five saves in net.

C.W. Post will travel to play at Bryant University on Mar. 22 at 12:00 p.m.
