#12 Lynchburg Hornets Sting the Greensboro Pride
Greensboro, NC -- Stephen Weiss scored 4 goals as #13 Lynchburg defeated Greensboro College, 17-4, at Pride Field on Tuesday. Lynchburg is now 4-2 while The Pride dropped to 1-6. LC held a 5-0 lead after this first quarter and was ahead 11-2 at the half. LC had 40 shots to 19 for GC and won 15 of 23 draws.
Mike Foderaro had 9 saves against 15 goals in the first three quarters for The Pride. Garrett Curran allowed 3 goals and stopped 6 shots for LC.
The Pride's four goals were score by four different players: Jordan Drumheller, Andrew Reidenbacker, Neal McKinney and Kirk Beville. Bryan Mercer and Jose Rodriguez.

GREENSBORO, NC – The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team roared out of the gates to defeat Greensboro College 17-4 Wednesday in non-conference action.
Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) scored the first goal of the contest at 11:46 then Stephen Weis (St. Louis, MO/Christian Brothers) would find the back of the net 10 seconds later off a Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) pass. LC would go on to outscore the Pride 5-0 in the first quarter, winning four of five face-offs and converting on all five clear attempts. LC would tally two more quick back-to-back goals in the second quarter with Michael Mundorf (Catonsville, MD/Mt. Saint Joseph) scoring with 5:01 and 4:53 left in the half.
LC would outscore GC 7-2 in the second to send the game into intermission at 12-2. LC outshot the Pride 22-12 in the first half, converting 13 of 14 clears while winning 7 of 14 face-offs. Tolson chipped in with three goals and two assists and Weis added three scores in the first half. LC outslugged the Pride in the second half, winning 6-2 while outshooting them 19-7 and winning the groundball battle 18-8 and eight of nine faceoffs.
Weis led the Hornets with four goals while Tolson contributed with three goals and two assists. Cranston tallied two goals and two assists, Kyle McGuire (Burke, VA/Robinson) scored twice, and Taylor Stehlgens (New Vernon, NJ/Madison) assisted on two scores. Norby King (Bryn Mawr, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) was 9-15 on faceoffs while Jeff Schwartz (New City, NY/Tabor Academy) was 6 for 7 at the X.
