Fontbonne Women's Lacrosse Earns First Win

March 19, 2008 - The Fontbonne University women's lacrosse team earned their first-ever NCAA win as they beat the Univ. of Dallas-Texas today 17-3. The victory improved the Griffins record to 1-3. Fontbonne junior Katie Raedeackar (Cedar Hill, MO) scored five goals to led the Griffins while freshman goalie Claire Kallio (Medina, OH) allowed a season-low three goals.

Fontbonne is in just its second year offering an NCAA sanctioned lacrosse program. Fontbonne is the only Missouri college or university of offer an NCAA sanctioned lacrosse program. Last year Fontbonne went winless in NCAA games but beat NAIA opponent Missouri Baptist University.
