No. 14 Colby Sails by Southern Maine
WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College junior midfielder Katie Sheridan (Hingham, Mass.) became the ninth player in women's lacrosse program history to reach 100 career goals as the Mules took a 17-1 victory over University of Southern Maine on Thursday at Bill Alfond Field.
Sheridan, a two-time All-American, had two goals and one assist in Thursday's game. She now has 100 goals and 37 assists for 137 career points just three games into her junior year.
Becky Julian (South Windsor, Conn.) had three goals and two assists in her first game of the season after completing Colby's women's ice hockey season. Lauren Strazzula (Norwell, Mass.) also had five points with one goal and four assists for Colby (2-1). Amy Campbell (North Andover, Mass.), Kathleen Kramer (Norwell, Mass.), Caroline Atwater (Catonsville, Md.), and Cary Finnegan (West Hartford, Conn.) all had two goals for the winners.
Kristy Kendrick (Waterboro, Maine) had the goal for Southern Maine (0-2).
