#19 Denver Starts with 11-0 Run, Storms by Cincinnati
DENVER – Sophomore Lexi Sanders (Greenwood Village, Colo.) and freshman Kristin Keravich (Glenwood, Md.) each had a hat trick, as the No. 19 University of Denver women's lacrosse team breezed past Cincinnati 19-3 at Barton Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Denver (6-3) rattled off an 11-0 run to start the game, including all three of Sanders' goals and two by junior Megan Carver (Baltimore, Md.), before Cincinnati (1-6) scored with 1:14 remaining in the first half.
The Pioneers extended their lead with a 6-0 run to start the second half, including Keravich's first three collegiate goals. Junior Karen Morton (Adelaide, Australia) added four points on a goal and three assists for the Pioneers.
Senior Becky Childs (Phoenix, Md.) and sophomore Katie Gold (Centennial, Colo.) each played a half in goal for Denver, recording four saves each.
The Pioneers hit the road for the next four games, beginning with a neutral site game against Rutgers in University Park, Md., on March 28 at 3:00 p.m. MT. Denver will then play at Johns Hopkins on March 30 at 10:00 a.m. MT.
