No. 6 Hamilton Downs No. 9 Trinity (CT) in Florida
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Kaillie Briscoe '09 scored six goals and assisted on three others to help lead nationally ranked No. 6 Hamilton College to a 13-9 non-league women's lacrosse victory against No. 9 Trinity College at Lake Lytal Park on March 21.
Briscoe is tied for fourth place on the program's all-time points list with 176 and is second in career assists with 63. Hamilton (3-1 overall) held a slim 7-6 advantage at the break, but Briscoe scored four goals in the second half as the Continentals pulled away.
Nicole Tetreault '08 added two goals and one assist for the winners. Hilary Saverin '10 chipped in two goals. Kate Fowler '10 made nine saves.
Trinity (2-2) was paced by four goals from Rachel Romanowsky, and two goals and four assists from C.J. Yanofsky. The Bantams grabbed a 1-0 lead with 26:11 left in the first half, but Hamilton scored the next six goals and never trailed again. The Continentals' lone loss this year was against top-ranked Franklin & Marshall College, 14-13, on Wednesday.
