NORTON, Mass. - Bowdoin senior Lyndsey Colburn netted a career-high seven goals to lead the Polar Bear women's lacrosse team to a 14-4 win over Wheaton College on Wednesday evening. Bowdoin (5-2) is ranked 10th in the latest IWLCA National Poll while the Lyons fall to 4-4 overall.

After Wheaton took an early one-goal lead, four different Polar Bears scored in a span of 4:13 to give Bowdoin the lead for good. The Polar Bears carried an 8-4 lead into halftime and then blanked Wheaton in the second frame with a dominating defensive performance.

Colburn's seven tallies surpassed her single-game high of six set last season against Williams. First-year Ingrid Oelschlager posted two goals while Kauri Ballard, Libby Barton, Christina Denitzio, Bobbi Dennison and Emily Straus also scored.
