Falcons Clip Devils, 14-13
(Grantham, PA)- The Dickinson College women's lacrosse team dropped a heartbreaker to Messiah, falling 14-13 on Wednesday. The Red Devils scored the last five goals of the game, but could not tally the equalizer.
Trailing 2-1 the Falcons went on an 8-0 run before taking a 10-6 lead into halftime. The Red Devils rallied behind four second half goals from sophomore Alyssa Crellin (Little Compton, RI/Portsmouth Abbey).
Crellin added an assist and controlled five draws in the contest. Dana Bunting (Bishopsville, MD/Worcester) tallied three assists while Lexie Kob (Collegeville, PA) chipped in with two goals and an assist.
Amy Jennings (Baltimore, MD/McDonogh) and Kelsey Muir (Glen Mills, PA/Academy of Notre Dame) each scored twice as well.
The Red Devils slip to 5-2 overall. They return to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, traveling to Swarthmore.
