NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Allie Lynch (Greenwich, Conn.) had three goals and an assist to lead Wesleyan University (4-3, 1-2) in a 13-5 victory at Connecticut College (4-5, 1-4) Wednesday afternoon. Sarah Orkin (West Hartford, Conn.) chipped in with two goals and an assist for the Cardinals. Junior goalkeeper Rachel Stemerman (Williamsville, N.Y.) finished with 13 saves for the winning side.

Connecticut College seniors Sarah Miner (Fairfield, Conn.) and Lindsey Coit (South Portland, Maine) had two goals apiece for the hosts. Chelsea Johnson (Portland, Maine) tallied the fifth goal of her rookie season for the Camels. Sophomore Jenna Ross (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished with 13 saves.

The Camels took a 2-1 lead on Johnson's unassisted tally with 19:45 to play in the opening half. Lynch answered the score 55 seconds later with her first of three goals for the visitors. With 14:27 to play, Sara Christopher (Andover, Mass.) fed Miner for a nice little wrap around shot and the Camels regained a one goal advantage at 3-2.

But the Cardinals would use a 6-0 run to seize control of the contest, ending the half with four unanswered scores. Orkin tied the game with 7:28 to go. The Cardinals pulled ahead with 5:29 remaining when Sophia Kim (Annapolis, Md.) connected with Sarah Hoefle (Rye, N.H.) in front of the cage for a one-timer. Kim put in the next goal and Maggie Lile (Wynnewood, Pa.) made it a 6-3 contest, scoring with just four seconds to play in the half.

The Cardinals scored the first two goals of the second half, building an 8-3 advantage with 22:45 to play on a free position score from Lynch. With 21:55 remaining, Coit buried a free position for the Camels and the lead was back to four, 8-4. But the Cardinals scored the next two goals to pull away and secure the 13-5 victory.

Abby Hill (Stoneham, Mass.) had four ground balls and a draw control for the Camels. Kristen Dirmaier (Williston, Vt.) finished with four ground balls. Stemerman collected a team-high four ground balls for the Cardinals.
