No. 7 Lady Eagles Soar Past Bloomsburg

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The No. 6 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (7-2, 5-1 PSAC) soared past Bloomsburg University (4-5, 4-3 PSAC) 20-9 today at home on Charlotte Smith field in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

The Lady Eagles got off to a slow start and found themselves trailing early. Bloomsburg struck first, scoring less than 30 seconds in and led 3-2 with just over 20 minutes to play in the opening half.

With 20:04 on the clock Amber Hoch (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) scored the first of her three goals on the day, sparking a five-goal run by the Haven.

That five goal run sparked the Lady Eagles attack as they eventually led 12-5 at half.

Sophomore Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville) led all scorers with six goals.

Both rookie Jamie Uzialko (Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and junior Jessica Blickenstaff (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) scored four goals on the day.

Along with her hat trick Hoch also dished out a team and game-high three assists.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, April 8 at 4:00 p.m., when they play host to Slippery Rock University in conference action.
