Carolina Tapped to Play in Inaugural "First Four"

UNC will play Notre Dame at The Home Depot Center on March 12.

CARSON, CALIF. ญญ The University of North Carolina men's lacrosse team will join Notre Dame, Georgetown, and Syracuse in the inaugural event of The First Four to be contested at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California on March 12. An all-day lacrosse event that will feature four high school games and three college games, The First Four will be highlighted by games between traditional NCAA Division I powers North Carolina and Notre Dame at 5 p.m. PST and Syracuse and Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. PST.

The event will be held at The Home Depot Center in Carson, a 125-acre state-of-the-art soccer facility and tennis center adjacent to the campus of the University of California-Dominguez Hills. The Home Depot Center serves as the national team training center for U.S. Soccer and is the home venue for the 2002 Major League Soccer champion Los Angeles Galaxy. Host hotel for The First Four will be the Anaheim Marriott, adjacent to Disney's California Adventure and Downtown Disney.
