Pollsters' Comments About Teams They Ranked

Duke: My #1 - ACC champs. Breather against St. John's before the real season begins for them. (Apache) — Very strong team on both sides of the ball. (Baldo) — 11-9 over Cavs to take ACC tourney ... still my #1. (jhu7276) — ACC champs look ready for the big show. My #1. (KMartin) — Still Numero Uno. Thumped UNC again and hung on against UVa after building 8-goal lead in Q3. Should get to clear the bench in season-ender when they host the Red Storm. (Lax Fidelis) — #2 - The Devils win the ACC Tourney with ease. (Lax Genius) — My #1- Five for five against the ACC. (Paesan33) — Duke still on top - although if they don't figure out how to guard the crease, they will lose in the tourney. (Rasheed) — #1-Cemented #1 seed. No one better. (Strannywastheman) — #1 - unchanged. Won the ACC tournament. Sunday's game against UVa raised a question in my mind - is Duke deep enough to win the national championship in hot weather under the sun? It's not clear to me. (timbucthree) — #1 - No question. (VTD)

Syracuse: My #2 - Lelan Rodgers is my assistant coach of the year given how he has gotten the Orange to play a little D. (Apache) — #2 but not by much. (Baldo) — Solid #2 with stomping of UMass. (jhu7276) — My #2 pummels old foe UMass, which is having a down year. (KMartin) — Remain #2. Put a "paid in full" stamp on UMass. Finish up w/ road game at surprising Patriot AQ, Colgate. (Lax Fidelis) — #1 - Rolled the Minutemen and will end their season vs. a late-peaking Colgate squad. (Lax Genius) — My #2- No one has come close since Hopkins on 3/15. (Paesan33) — Cuse at number 2 - playing with speed, confidence, and a chip on their shoulder. (Rasheed) — #2-UMass no problem. (Strannywastheman) — #3 - unchanged. Beat up on an over-matched UMass team. Match against a revived Colgate this week should be interesting. This team is capable of beating Duke. (timbucthree) — #2 - Winning big over teams they should handle. Colgate up next. (VTD)

Virginia: My #3 - Almost got the Blue Devils, but, more importantly, they got a big-time game out of Petit in nets. If the Cavs want to go to Foxboro, they need Petit to get hot (or at least lukewarm). (Apache) — Maybe three will be the charm? (Baldo) — I like them at #3 despite narrow loss to Duke ... do not underestimate them. (jhu7276) — Will go into tournament with a little momentum knowing it can in fact beat Duke after 11-9 game. My #3. (KMartin) — Stay at #3. Avenged UMd loss and played pretty well against Duke but took too long to get it really cooking. Host Dartmouth to end regular season. (Lax Fidelis) — #3 - Solidify the #3 NCAA seed with another win over Maryland and by keeping it respectable vs. Duke. (Lax Genius) — My #3- But somehow also third in the ACC ... and yet UMd is not in my top 3 ... hmm. (Paesan33) — Virginia still at number 3 - if this team could play an entire game, they would be that much better. Dom needs to have them working on shooting drills between now and the tourney. (Rasheed) — #3-Played Duke tough. Looking better than recent weeks. (Strannywastheman) — #2 - unchanged. Slept through the first half against Duke, but otherwise a great effort. This team is capable of beating Duke. (timbucthree) — #3 - Nice comeback at the end there. Petit was the answer to the goalie problem at least for this week ... but definitely a good start. (VTD)

Johns Hopkins: My #4 - No conspiracy, the Blue Jays have played much better ball these past few weeks and appear to be ready to make a real run at defending their title. (Apache) — Righting the ship after a rough few weeks. (Baldo) — Playing best ball of the "first season" now as the "second season" approaches. (jhu7276) — Moving them up two spots to #5 after pounding Towson. (KMartin) — Sloppy performance still earned the Jays a 16-7 win over Tony's Tigers. Host MSM on Monday and visit Loyola on Saturday. (Lax Fidelis) — #8 - A mid-week win over Towson means that a win this week over Mount St. Mary's guarantees a .500 season and an appearance in the NCAA tournament. (Lax Genius) — My #4- In front of UMBC for defeating them. (Paesan33) — Hop is playing better, but their record blows - Petro needs to take these guys to a Stephen Segal movie or something - toughen 'em up - number 10. (Rasheed) — #4-Peaking at the right time. Foxboro seems likely now. (Strannywastheman) — #4 - unchanged. Handled Towson easily. Most of the LaxPower pollsters have this team under-ranked and have for weeks. FF bound. This team also can beat Duke. (timbucthree) — #4 - Need to work on not taking so many penalties, otherwise playing very well in all facets of the game right now. We'll see what happens when competition gets a little tougher. (VTD)

Georgetown: My #6 - A good team that is capable of both the great (Duke) and the not so great (Fairfield, Loyola)performance. Here's to hoping that the NCAA math works out for them, as they seem to be the team this year that could be left out. (Apache) — They beat the Dukies. (Baldo) — Beat Rutgers, but the question is, how far will they go in "second season"? (jhu7276) — Keeping them at #4 just ahead of Hopkins due to better overall record and win over Duke. Not entirely sure this is the right spot for them, as they might not even make the playoffs. (KMartin) — Hoyaboy special, guess where I ranked them? Beat up on Rutgers at Piscataway. Tooners finish the season at Penn State and hope they get a call from NCAA Selection Committee. (Lax Fidelis) — #5 - Move up a spot at the expense of North Carolina with a solid win vs. Rutgers. (Lax Genius) — My #8- Stays here, Navy's loss not helping. (Paesan33) — Georgetown sitting at number 5 - the question is if they can get over the hump - I argue that unless Brancaccio steps up, GT will be packing their bags early in the tourney. (Rasheed) — #6-Rolled Rutgers, but consistently inconsistent. (Strannywastheman) — #8 - up two spots, as they manhandle unranked Rutgers and the rest of last week's #6-#9 lose. Looking more like they will make the tournament as an at large now that Army and Navy appear to be out. (timbucthree) — #6 - Played more to potential against Rutgers. Cannon needs to be be healthy for this team to go anywhere in May. (VTD)

Maryland: My #8 - It's been a month since they won against a team with a winning record. My confidence is low that they will go anywhere in the NCAAs. (Apache) — May be a year away from being a serious contender. (Baldo) — Did you really think they would beat the Liers in the ACC rematch? I didn't. (jhu7276) — Moving them down to #6, though they seem to have stopped the bleeding and are playing well. (KMartin) — Up one to #8 despite losing at Virginia in ACC semifinal. Host Yale to finish regular season. Terps seem to have lost the edge they had prior to Reed's suspension. (Lax Fidelis) — #4 - Virginia gets the Terps back for hanging a loss on them earlier in the season and costing them the #1 spot in the polls. (Lax Genius) — My #6- Behind BC for loss; nice wins over GT, UNC, UVa. (Paesan33) — Travis needs to re-gel with the team - once he does, I think the Terps can make a run - my number 7 - why does this team not work more pick plays for Catalino to drive and roll around the cage? Kid packs it in more than "the Stomach" from the movie Meatballs ... I mean really, who could stop him coming off a pick???? My number 7. (Rasheed) — #5-Battled UVa. Terps have Foxboro potential. (Strannywastheman) — #7 - down one spot, as they lose to UVa in the ACC tourney. (timbucthree) — #10 - Young team that might be hitting the wall, especially on offense. (VTD)

Notre Dame: My #5 - The Irish win four games in nine days and look good doing it. Since the GWLL has a tourney, they don't have the AQ yet, but they appear to be a tourney lock. Just imagine if they had Yeatman. (Apache) — In the GWLL catbird seat. (Baldo) — Good win over OSU ... best in the Midwest for sure ... Irish eyes were smiling last week. (jhu7276) — Big win over a surging Ohio State team. My #8. (KMartin) — Up one to #7. Solid win over Ohio State buys the Irish a first-round game against the Q. in GWLL playoffs, while Denver and Ohio State get to run each other ragged in the other semi. (Lax Fidelis) — #9 - The Irish show the Buckeyes who runs the show in the GWLL. League tournament should confirm this. (Lax Genius) — My #9- Back in business. Poised now to do damage in the tourney with the chance. (Paesan33) — ND pulls it together to pull away from a tough Ohio State - sitting pretty at number 9. (Rasheed) — #9-Took care of business with Buckeyes. D remains very tough. (Strannywastheman) — #6 - up two spots. Beat OSU convincingly while Maryland and UNC lose. Showing signs of why I picked them #3 in the pre-season. (timbucthree) — #8 - Got that signature win. LA (GWLL) is anyone's game. (VTD)

North Carolina: My #11 - When they look good, they look really good. When they look bad, they look really bad. Every game they play in seems to be a blowout ... it's just that you never know which side of the score the Tar Heels will be on. (Apache) — 4th in the ACC ain't that bad. (Baldo) — Loss to rival Duke no shame ... still can spoil the NCAA tourney for someone. (jhu7276) — Hard to say where these guys' heads are right now. My #7. (KMartin) — Still #5. Second time around against the Blue Devils no better than the first. If my memory is correct, this UNC senior class went 0-16 against the ACC schools. Off this week. (Lax Fidelis) — #7 - Thrashed by Duke. Can the Heels recover in time to make a splash in the tourney? Losses in five of their last eight games tell me that the answer is NO! (Lax Genius) — My #7- In front of Cornell for beating them. (Paesan33) — Number 4 - lost to Duke, but hey, who hasn't? (Rasheed) — #7-3 losses in last three weeks, but Heels have game. (Strannywastheman) — #9 - down two spots, as they lose ugly to Duke. Another up and down team. (timbucthree) — #7 - Kept it close against Duke for a while, which is admirable, I guess. (VTD)

UMBC: My #10 - The early season woes will probably hurt any at-large chances the Yellow Dogs have, so they need to take care of business in the AE tourney. (Apache) — Cinderella, your slippers are ready. (Baldo) — Downs Vermont ... good squad, these banana dogs. (jhu7276) — Not exactly an impressive win over Vermont. My #10. (KMartin) — Remain #11. Lackluster win at Vermont probably not the way Zim wanted his troops to prep for the AE tournament. They host Bingo and the rest of the AE field in Catonsville starting on Thursday. (Lax Fidelis) — #10 - A nine-game winning streak has the Retrievers poised to make a splash in the AE and NCAA tournament. (Lax Genius) — My #5- Stays here for win over Vermont. (Paesan33) — Zimmerman or Desko for COY - I think they can make a run - my number 6. (Rasheed) — #10-Can't wait to see Zim coach these boys up for the tourney. (Strannywastheman) — #5 - unchanged. Finished running the AE table on Saturday. (timbucthree) — #5 - Less than impressive showing against Vermont. (VTD)

Cornell: My #7 - Do you think Tambo will send his former assistant Billy Wilson a thank-you gift? They will have their hands full against what I imagine will be a very emotional Hobart team. (Apache) — Most consistent Ivy team. (Baldo) — Over Brown ... Ivy best, but may be the only Ivy team in the NCAA tourney this year. (jhu7276) — Big win over rival Brown to ensure another Ivy crown. My #9. (KMartin) — Up one spot to #9. After beating Brown, they now have to root for Brown to knock off Princeton or the Tigers gain the AQ. Visit Geneva for what appears to be the last time Big Red will play Hobart. (Lax Fidelis) — #6 - Nice win vs. the Brown Bears. However, the Big Red now needs help from the Bears to win the Ivy League title. The Big Red face an angry Hobart squad Friday night in the final installment of the longest running rivalry in college lacrosse this Friday. (Lax Genius) — My #10- Army and Navy both slide, but stays here for beating Brown. (Paesan33) — Cornell struggled against their number one rival, Princeton. They seem to wait much too long to pull the trigger and fire some shots - and why in the hell do you put Mad Max BEHIND the goal??? Makes no sense to me, but then again, I'm so out of shape, I couldn't run from here to the other side of my office without getting winded, so perhaps I'm not the best authority ... number 8. (Rasheed) — #8-Didn't think they had a chance to get back to the Final Four, but they could surprise. (Strannywastheman) — #10 - up three spots, as they beat Brown and gain a share of the Ivy crown. Have to be pulling for Brown to beat Princeton this week. (timbucthree) — #11 - Back on track against Brown. (VTD)

Ohio State: My #9 - The loss to ND makes them a bubble team unless they win the GWLL tourney, which makes their rematch against Denver huge. (Apache) — Now need to win GWLL tourney. (Baldo) — Couldn't beat the Irish in lacrosse, but they can in football. (jhu7276) — One of their better seasons in awhile, but a tough loss to ND. My #16. (KMartin) — Remain #15 after loss at Notre Dame. Expect another track meet when they meet Denver again, as the two teams scored a combined 33 goals two weeks ago. (Lax Fidelis) — My #11- Down one spot for loss; first time the Bucks were beaten by more than 1. (Paesan33) — Played with ND for most of the game and then lost their legs and barrings - number 11. (Rasheed) — #20-Irish too much. (Strannywastheman) — #14 - unchanged. Lost to a better Notre Dame team. (timbucthree) — #9 - Couldn't buy a face-off against ND. Where did the defense go? (VTD)

Drexel: My #18 - Congrats to the Dragons on getting the #1 seed in the CAA. Now the bad news - you have to win it or else no NCAAs. (Apache) — May not get out of the CAA playoffs. (Baldo) — Over Nova ... having a phenomenal year. (jhu7276) — My #12 as others lose. (KMartin) — Up one to #16. Win at Villanova clinches top spot in Colonial, Dragons' reward is Villanova again but at home this time. (Lax Fidelis) — #17 - Another win to move to 12-3, yet the Dragons need to win the CAA tournament to advance. (Lax Genius) — My #13- Three straight wins; only bad loss is to a rising ND. (Paesan33) — #17-Impressive record, but suspect. (Strannywastheman) — #11 - unchanged. Win over Villanova has them sitting at the top of CAC. Should be a crowd favorite in their tournament. I will be pulling for them. (timbucthree) — #14 - Steady against weak competition. (VTD)

Army: My #13 - I will be surprised if they get to play in the NCAAs after failing to get it done as the #1 in the Patriot Tourney. (Apache) — May still make the dance after upset in the Patriot playoffs. (Baldo) — Very bad loss to Bucknell negates their great win over the Goats ... Mules have to be licking their wounds this week. (jhu7276) — A good season this year as top 4 PL teams were all about equal. I have them overrepresented in the poll as a result. (KMartin) — Down two to #14. Loss to Bucknell in PL semifinal hurts Black Knights' chances to make NCAA; game at Penn remains, but even a win probably doesn't improve their odds. (Lax Fidelis) — #14 - First-round loss in the PL tournament spells an end to Army's 2008 campaign. (Lax Genius) — My #13- Can't move higher. Really just a win over Navy and a bunch of close losses. Next best win is Hofstra. (Paesan33) — #14-Two losses to Buck in three weeks. Top 10 no more. (Strannywastheman) — #17 - down two spots after losing to Bucknell. Weak offense has brought them back to earth. (timbucthree) — #16 - No way to rank them ahead of Bucknell, whom they lost to twice. (VTD)

Colgate: My#12 - Wow! The Red Raiders will be dancing! (Apache) — Patriot champs, whaddya know. (Baldo) — Champions of Patriot League are NO patsies (according to the esteemed Shirley)! The Gate "shocks the house!" ... raise the roof! (jhu7276) — Never gave up and will go to the dance. Watch out for them. My #19. (KMartin) — Red Raiders rocket up to #12 in standings after beating Navy and then Bucknell in Patriot playoffs. Host the Orange on Saturday; it says here that Colgate comes back down to earth as SU avenges another 2007 defeat. (Lax Fidelis) — #12 - The Red Raiders peak at the right time to win the Patriot AQ. They sure have Bucknell's number! (Lax Genius) — My #18- Hot at the right time. Five straight over rival Bucknell. And they're almost all coming back next year. (Paesan33) — Wow, what a gutsy performance against the beasts from Bucknell - those Bucknell D-men are big! Congrats on executing a great game plan and clearly WANTING IT MORE - number 12. (Rasheed) — #11-Did not think they had a chance against Navy. Huge win. Then they beat Bucknell. Who are these guys? (Strannywastheman) — #13 - reappearing at #13 after wandering in the wilderness most of the season. My pre-season analysis was spot on: "Losing little from last season's Patriot League runner-up team. With Navy and Army losses, it would appear that Colgate has an excellent shot at the Patriot top spot. Bucknell may pose the biggest obstacle." Peaking at the right time and capable of winning a first round game. (timbucthree) — #13 - Came on like gangbusters at the end to steal the Patriot League trophy and the AQ. (VTD)

Loyola: WL - Just outside my top 20 after the loss to Hobart, as it brought up memories of their Siena loss for me. (Apache) — Bad loss in Geneva. (Baldo) — Crushing defeat to Hobart sinks the Hounds ... NOT a top-five team as I was questioning last week ... can salvage some pride in finale vs. the Blue Jays. (jhu7276) — Saw them lose to Hobart on Saturday. They are actually a bigger and better team than I thought. Heads were not there, and Hobart was really up for this one. My #11. (KMartin) — Down four to #10. Not as dreadful as their loss to Siena but the 'Hounds must have believed their press clippings as they traveled to Geneva and lost to Hobart on what turned out to be the Statesmen's darkest day. Host JHU on Saturday,. (Lax Fidelis) — #11 - Down two spots, as they were dominated by an impressive Hobart side. (Lax Genius) — My #20- G'town win keeps them open for business; ECAC is just getting weaker this year. (Paesan33) — #12-Hobart loss aside, still should win a game or two. (Strannywastheman) — #12 - down three spots after losing to unranked Hobart. What was that all about? (timbucthree) — #18 - Got a big win over G'town, won the ECAC, then blew it in Geneva. (VTD)

Navy: My #15 - A disappointing end to their season. (Apache) — In the THUD room with Princeton. No dancing for the Squids this year, I'm afraid. (Baldo) — And "by the same token", the Goats were torpedoed and dive-bombed by the Gate in the Patriot Tourney (along with the Air Force loss to Denver, it was a bad week for our fighting forces). (jhu7276) — Stumbling and falling in PL playoffs. Probably will not make NCAAs. My #15. (KMartin) — Down five to #18. Loss in PL opening round to Colgate puts the Mids in a world of hurt for making the NCAA field. No game this week; only practice and just hoping they get a phone call on Sunday. (Lax Fidelis) — #15- Similar story to Bucknell. No tourney for the first time in a while for the Midshipmen. (Lax Genius) — My #12- Wheels came off in last four of five games, which is ironic, because they're on ships, usually. (Paesan33) — #15-Colgate? Mids will think about this one for a long time. (Strannywastheman) — #19 - down three spots after losing to Colgate in the Patriot tourney. Of all the pollsters, I have been most skeptical of this team all year long. Apparently my skepticism was justified. (timbucthree) — #17 - Fallen apart toward the end of the season. (VTD)

Bucknell: My #14 - So close. (Apache) — Nice try but no ceegar. (Baldo) — Over Army and Navy but not by much ... battlin' Bison. (jhu7276) — Move ahead with win in PL playoffs to #13. (KMartin) — Up one spot after beating #12 Army in PL semifinal only to lose the final to their nemesis, Colgate. NCAA chances are iffy. (Lax Fidelis) — #13 - The Bison could have waltzed into the tourney if they had been able to figure out Colgate. They couldn't do it and will be at home in a couple of week. (Lax Genius) — My #15- Stays here despite *another* loss to Colgate. BTW that's three in a row over Army, revenge considering Army won five in a row by one!!! (Paesan33) — Bucknell lost their chances for the tourney - how much initiative do you need to win a game??? Apparently making the NCAA tourney isn't enough ... very disappointing performance ... number 13. (Rasheed) — #13-Clutch win against Army, but could not finish the deal. Colgate finished them. (Strannywastheman) — #15 - up two spots after beating Army. Colgate beat them convincingly, but they have had a good season. Won't make the tournament because of weak SOS. Need a schedule upgrade. They are ready to move up. (timbucthree) — #15 - Patriot League hierarchy looks a lot different today than it did only two weeks ago. (VTD)

Princeton: My #17 - Shocking loss of focus to lose to Dartmouth. They still control their NCAA destiny. (Apache) — THUD of the week, losing to Dartmouth. (Baldo) — One of their worst seasons in recent memory is rapidly coming to a close, as the Big Green shut down the Orange and Black. (jhu7276) — Without Kovler, Princeton is not a top 20 team. My #22. (KMartin) — Down one to #17. Just when the Tigers seem to have things firmly under control in the Ivy they travel to Hanover and lose to a sub-.500 Big Green. Win at Brown and they are in; lose and they may not make the NCAAs. (Lax Fidelis) — #16 - A loss to Dartmouth moves the Tigers down two spots and sets up a huge game next week vs. Brown. (Lax Genius) — My #19- Falls again. Win over Cornell was very impressive, though. (Paesan33) — #16-Dartmouth loss probably cost them an at-large spot. (Strannywastheman) — #16 - down four spots after losing to unranked Dartmouth. Fate is in their own hands. They must beat Brown this week to get their AQ; otherwise, they won't be dancing. (timbucthree) — #19 - Wrecked Cornell then lost to Dartmouth? (VTD)

Denver: My #19 - A big weekend ahead. A win against Ohio State in the GWLL semis could be enough if laf's NCAA math is right. (Apache) — Likely outside looking in unless they can win the GWLL tourney. (Baldo) — Air Force was "bombed back to the Stone Age" 14-1 this week in Rocky Mountain rival tilt. (jhu7276) — Bringing it back for the end of the season. My #17. (KMartin) — My #22- Wins over Colgate, Brown, ND. (Paesan33) — #23. (Strannywastheman) — #12 - Will have a chance to redeem themselves in the LA tourney. (VTD)

Hofstra: WL - Almost had them in, but a close win over Bob Morris just doesn't excite me. (Apache) — CAA spoiler. (Baldo) — Slid by Bob Morris, 13-12 ... not "impressive, Skywalker," but a win is a win. (jhu7276) — Up and down all year. My #21. (KMartin) — Squeaker win over Robert Morris drops the Dutchmen to #20. Host Delaware in first round of Colonial playoffs on Wednesday. (Lax Fidelis) — #20 - Two wins this week, but not by the margins I would have expected, particularly vs. Bobby Mo. (Lax Genius) — My #17- Stays here despite the unimpressive win over RMU; beats SBU in rivalry game on Tuesday. (Paesan33) — #19-Pulled out a W against a good Stony Brook. (Strannywastheman) — #20 - down one spot after Colgate jumps to #13. Team is up and down but with a great conference record. They could win the CAC; it just depends on which team shows up for the tournament. (timbucthree) — #20 - Beats out Brown for the last spot by virtue of their play against a tougher schedule and their head-to-head win. (VTD)

Brown: WL - Had a bad weekend, as they lost their chance for the Ivy AQ both on the field (Cornell loss) and off (Dartmouth over Princeton). Can still win in Ivy title on the field this weekend but look to have no hope at making the NCAA field. (Apache) — Could be an Ivy spoiler. (Baldo) — Loss by 4 to Cornell is nothing to cry about. (jhu7276) — Tough loss to Cornell but a good season for them so far. My #18. (KMartin) — Down one to #19 after loss at Cornell. Bruno is in a strange situation; a win over the Tigers gives Brown a share of the Ivy title with Cornell but no AQ. Weak schedule likely to keep them out of the NCAAs, but beating Princeton may keep the Tigers out of the field as well. (Lax Fidelis) — #18 - A loss to Cornell and a Princeton loss knock the Bears out of the Ivy League race and the NCAA tournament. (Lax Genius) — My #21- Nine game streak snapped; no truly impressive wins; plays great defense. (Paesan33) — #18-Big Red ended their run. Good year. (Strannywastheman) — #21 - Want to keep them in the Top 20, but there's no room this week. (VTD)

Albany: My #16 - The Danes have recovered nicely from their rough start and always do well in the AE tourney. (Apache) — Beat the Seawolves ... Scoobs tallying a few wins. (jhu7276) — My #16- Stays here. Beats the 'Brook without two starting attackers. (Paesan33) — #21-Danes not done yet. A mistake to count them out. (Strannywastheman) — #18 - unchanged after beating rival Stony Brook. Need to take the AE crown from UMBC in order to dance. It could happen, but I doubt it. (timbucthree) — #22. (VTD)

Hobart: My #20 - A total shame to see Hobart heading back to D-III. Great win against Loyola. (Apache) — Farewell and Godspeed, Statesmen. (Baldo) — Can't believe what's been done to this team. My heart goes out to the players, coaches, families, fans, and alumni. (imp) — My beloved Statesmen played hard on Saturday, and the D this year has been much improved. Right now they could beat an awful lot of teams above them on this list. I am very sorry about the move back to D3. Cornell coming in on Friday night. Could be a great swan song for the program as probably the last D1 game ever. Could be ugly. My #20 for the last poll of the season until after the playoffs. (KMartin) — On the day that the Hobart trustees put a stake through the heart of almost all of their dedicated fans by voting for a return to D3, the Statesmen comfortably defeat Loyola. Finish their D1 tenure by hosting Cornell. At least the last D1 game is against one of their long-time Upstate rivals and not Hartford. RIP. (Lax Fidelis) — #19 - A tribute to the Hobart men who over the last 14 years represented that institution in D1 with pride and respect, much more than they were afforded by their President, Board of Trustees, and AD this past weekend. This team at 8-5 is two goals from being ECAC champion. (Lax Genius) — My #23- Three in a row, plus a win over Loyola. (Paesan33) — #25 - Can't believe what their administration just did. (VTD)

Other Teams Pollsters Considered (and comments, if any)

Delaware: Downward spiral for weeks now. (Baldo) — #24. (Strannywastheman)

Harvard: Another debacle for the Eli; as per usual, they lose to Harvard in something ... this time lacrosse ... "the cause" is improving. (jhu7276) — #25. (Strannywastheman)

Stony Brook: #22-Tough loss to Hofstra. Not far away. (Strannywastheman) — #23. (VTD)

Towson: Bounced back big over Penn after the defeat at the hands of JHU. (jhu7276)
