Pollsters' Comments About Teams They Ranked

Virginia: My #1 - Well-earned against Syracuse. (Apache) — New #1, as Hoos edged the Orange in Hooville. (Baldo) — #1 - Played Syracuse without top middie and a new star emerged. Bad news for everyone else. (Coyote) — Move up as they slide by Cuse ... Bratton-a-rama. (jhu7276) — This heavyweight bout goes to Virginia. Love to see these two play again. (Ketch) — Yes, but will they win at M&T Bank Stadium if they meet again in May? (LAF) — #1 - Hanging on to beat Cuse at home is enough for the Cavs to claim the top spot. (Lax Genius) — My #1. Held off the Cuse comeback. Bratton number 2 makes a statement. (maddog9718) — #1 Winning by a goal on its home field. Interesting penalties. I need to look at the game to see what was going on. I wonder what happens if it's played at M&T. UVa will go as far as its D can carry them. Winning score 11-10. (OCanada) — New #1. Now can they hold onto it? (oldbartman) — (P33#1) - Up here for defeating #1 Cuse. Even with all the injuries and graduation losses, Dom gets it done. (Paesan33) — My #1. They won. (randyrad) — New number one for now - still so much to improve - plus Shamel comes back soon. Still finding their legs - without the 6 EMOs, the game against Cuse wouldn't have been close. (Rasheed) — #1-LW2-Hoos look good in an early season classic. Major surprise if we don't see UVa and Cuse Memorial Day weekend. (Strannywastheman) — Won it on the field in a nail-biter! My guess is these two Titans battle in May. (Tecumseh) — #1 - Beat SU without best midfielder. (VTD)

Syracuse: My #2 - Tough road loss to the new #1. Plenty more big games ahead. (Apache) — Tough one-goal road loss in C-Ville. (Baldo) — #6 - Will move up soon as the other teams get knocked off. (Coyote) — One-goal loss to Hoos is no great shame ... only drop to number 2. (jhu7276) — It's not May yet, so not to worry. (Ketch) — Same pattern as last year. May is their month. Still #1. (LAF) — #2 - The world is unfolding as it should for Syracuse - an early season one-goal loss to Virginia to be followed by a National Championship in May? That's been the pattern. Nevertheless, I have to drop them a spot. Tough weekend on the hill - #1 hoops squad loses to Louisville also. (Lax Genius) — My #3. Comeback attempt against UVa falls short. (maddog9718) — #2 They need to move Morasco to attack if they didn't in this game. Jamison has not been producing, and the offense was scoreless for almost an entire half. Again, I need to see the game on Monday to validate my thoughts. (OCanada) — #3. Needs to get their 6-on-6 offense on track. (oldbartman) — (P33#6) - Had to drop these guys way down to readjust- too many other teams jump in front, plus loss to #1 UVa. They'll be back. (Paesan33) — My #6. My #1 one-loss team. (randyrad) — Number 5 - does "Jammer" take plays off? Jermy T is astoundingly good - they need to let him create - wow. This team is not nearly the team they will be come May, which is a bit scary. (Rasheed) — #2-LW1-Maybe a notch down from last year, but still are extremely good. (Strannywastheman) — Ouch, fall to #2 might be just enough to cause a couple of gut checks on what could have happened at UVa. Great game, BTW! (Tecumseh) — #4 - Offense has serious work to do. Stout defense should keep them in every game. (VTD)

North Carolina: My #4 - Will finally get their chance to really show if they are top 5 with game against Duke this week. (Apache) — Something just is not right here. (Baldo) — #4 - A Duke team out to redeem its season and then Princeton makes for an interesting eight days for this team. (Coyote) — Solid win over UMBC ... will this be a final four year?? (jhu7276) — Is it possible that this really is going to be a breakthrough year for the Tar Heels? (Ketch) — Could this be their year? If so, they should make their presence felt this Wednesday against Duke. (LAF) — #3 - The Heels are still undefeated at 5-0. (Lax Genius) — My #2. Quality win over an always tough UMBC; will need to bring A-game against "wounded dog" Duke, which will be hungry to rebound. (maddog9718) — #3 Beat UMBC comfortably. They are going to have to hope one of the top two teams loses to move up. (OCanada) — Down to #5, though still beating who they should.. (oldbartman) — (P33#4) - Best win is Navy, who just won. Next best is UMBC, who just lost. (Paesan33) — My #2. No apparent weakness. (randyrad) — Number 3. (Rasheed) — #3-LW3-UMBC not a problem. Wed. night will tell a great deal. (Strannywastheman) — Is 5 over UMBC a good thing or not? Still need to bring it in a big way. (Tecumseh) — #2 - Undefeated and winning consistently. (VTD)

Princeton: My #5 - Will be interesting to see what happens as coaches get more tape on the offense. Right now, a very fun team to watch. (Apache) — Gritty OT win over the Jays. (Baldo) — #3 - Two big wins trumps UNC's five wins. (Coyote) — Downs the Jays ... I have them at number 5. (jhu7276) — Impressive showing by the Tigers. Can't wait for a few Ivy League contests to reveal the landscape. (Ketch) — They beat Hopkins by the same goal margin as Siena. (LAF) — #5 - OT win against Hopkins moves the Tigers up. They get a bit of a break facing Manhattan mid week and then get back to serious business when UMBC visits next Saturday. (Lax Genius) — My #5. Fraccaro is a stud. Impressive win against JHU. (maddog9718) — #6 Beat Hopkins by the surprising score of 11-10. Focarro had a career day. They almost lost a game they had won in regulation but Hopkins bailed them out. (OCanada) — My #4. Best of the Ivy now. (oldbartman) — (P33#3) - Impressive over Hofstra; impressive at Homewood. (Paesan33) — My #5. Wow. Even better with this offense. (randyrad) — Fantastic win over Hopkins - by a first-year coach for P. (Rasheed) — #6-LW8-Tigers in a thriller over Hop. Bates has Tigers at a high level. (Strannywastheman) — Great win over the Blue Jays. Love Coach Bates and his up-tempo game. Going to be fun in the Ivy. (Tecumseh) — #3 - Bates has this team firing on all cylinder offensively early in the season. (VTD)

Notre Dame: My #3 - Another quality win. Trap game awaits against a very solid Drexel team. (Apache) — Irish keep putting up Ws. (Baldo) — Beats Loyola. (jhu7276) — Fighting Irish are on pace to make this another last year. (Ketch) — March is their month. Will May be their month? (LAF) — #6 - Undefeated and beating quality opponents, the Irish are making believers out of me. (Lax Genius) — My #7. Nice win over Loyola but needs to work on EMO: 0 for last 12? (maddog9718) — #5 I am leaving the Irish at #5. Based on what I saw Saturday, that looks more appropriate right now than #3. Scored 11 but messed up a great weekend by holding Loyola to less then 10. (OCanada) — Down a notch to #6, barely beat Loyola. (oldbartman) — (P33#2) - This was tough to put them behind UVa, but the Cavs knocked off #1 and edge out the Domers. (Paesan33) — My #4. The #1 undefeated non-ACC team. (randyrad) — Number 4 with nice victory over Loyola. (Rasheed) — #5-LW7-Solid W over a strong Loyola. Tough D down the stretch. (Strannywastheman) — Fun game to watch with the win over Loyola. Still many I speak with aren't on board with the program in South Bend yet. (Tecumseh) — #5 - Nail biter with Loyola. (VTD)

Maryland: My #6 - Phipps looked great. (Apache) — Terps quietly getting it done. (Baldo) — #5 - Terp fans think this should be higher, but I'm not convinced yet. (Coyote) — I can't believe I'm doing it, but with wins over Georgetown and Duke, MD moves to #6 for me and playing better than their "traditional foe" (JHU) ... Testudo polishing his shell to a brilliant shine! (jhu7276) — Two gut check wins in a row by the Terps. Are they really going to show something this year? (Ketch) — Could be the only local team to make the Final Four. (LAF) — #8 - The OT win over Duke is a nice complement to the hoops team's victory over the Blue Devils earlier this week. It's a tough job being a cop in College Park lately. By the way, is PLB prescient? (Lax Genius) — My #4. Great win against a good Duke team. Clicking like they were expected to click last year. Midfield is surprising to the upside. (maddog9718) — #4 All six teams at the FO Classic looked competitive with each other. Catalino bailed himself out from his end of game brain lock to win it in OT by another 11-10 score. (OCanada) — Move up to #2. Back to the future? (oldbartman) — (P33#5) - Good wins- but I just don't have Duke or G'twn in my top 10 (yet). By season end, if they make it, these will be much bigger wins for the Terrapins. (Paesan33) — My #3 ... and I resent the ACC's dominance. (randyrad) — Number 2 - almost gave the game away - wish Cottle would let the kids play instead of stall - almost cost them. (Rasheed) — #4-LW4-Big win over Duke. Winning the close ones, for now. Phipps, Catalino, Yeatman, Young look sharp. (Strannywastheman) — Solid OT win over Duke. Next week will be key. #4 with a bullet. (Tecumseh) — #6 - Bested Duke in OT, no way to move them up this week so they stay at #6. (VTD)

Johns Hopkins: My #7 - Looked better in the OT loss, but the number of unforced errors must be driving Petro bananas. (Apache) — Tough loss to the Tigers - suspect D and goalkeeper issues still an issue for the Jays. (Baldo) — #7 - Top spot for teams with losses not named Syracuse. Indicative of the weaknesses of the teams ranked lower. (Coyote) — JHU travels to "Bates Motel," which is stocked with tigers ... barely clinging to a top 10 rating. (jhu7276) — I wonder what practice is like after a loss like Saturday's? (Ketch) — The Siena game revealed that this is not the year for JHU or that Siena is really that good. (LAF) — #9 - Narrow OT loss to Princeton drops the Jays down three spots. (Lax Genius) — My #8. Flashes of brilliance overshadowed by long stretches of average play. (maddog9718) — #7 Fewer mistakes is better but still making too many unforced turnovers to win with their talent level. (OCanada) — #8 again. Kimmel needs some help. (oldbartman) — (P33#8) - Not devastating- needed one more goal to tie Princeton. (Paesan33) — My #7. Taking their usual early season lumps. (randyrad) — Still working out kinks - number 7. Petro has so many horses - why doesn't he run them? (Rasheed) — #7-LW6-Fought to get it to OT. Hop usually pulls these out. (Strannywastheman) — Are the Tigers for real, or the Jays having problems on D and in the goal? (Tecumseh) — #7 - Too many unforced mistakes to beat the top teams at the moment, but they are young and learning. (VTD)

Cornell: My #8 - Have been less than impressive in their wins. (Apache) — Dodged a BULLET this week against the Black Knights of the Hudson. (Baldo) — #8 for now. Too many areas need to improve to feel real good about this team. (Coyote) — Beat Canisius, Army, and Hobart. (jhu7276) — Squeak, squeak. The Big Red will undoubtedly let it hang out against Binghamton. (Ketch) — #4 - The Big Red are just barely getting it done - in OT against Army and with a margin of victory narrower than it should have been against Canisius. (Lax Genius) — #10 Beat Army in OT. Unfortunately they scored more than 11 in doing it. Army is never a pushover, but this was at home, so I was surprised it went to OT. (OCanada) — #9 and continuing to grind out wins. Midfield starting to gel. (oldbartman) — (P33#7) - Army is stingy, aren't they? (Paesan33) — My #10. Still early. (randyrad) — Number 10. (Rasheed) — #15-LW5-Unimpressive win over Canisius. Held off Army in OT. No longer 2009. (Strannywastheman) — Barely got by an ever improved Army team. (Tecumseh) — #8 - Three unimpressive wins over mediocre or worse competition; stay at #8. (VTD)

Duke: My #9 - This team could be 2-4 by this time next week (UNC, Loyola this week) unless they can get some production from their midfield and have their freshman goalie stay off his knees. (Apache) — THUD of the week. Make that a DOUBLE THUD. (Baldo) — Beaten by the Terps. (jhu7276) — Is the window of opportunity now locked shut for the Blue Devils? (Ketch) — Slowly fading from the D1 scene. (LAF) — #10 - Some pollsters' pre-season darlings, the Blue Devils are sinking like a stone. 0-1 in the ACC and facing a mid-week date with arch-rival North Carolina followed by a trip to Bawlmer to face a dangerous Loyola team. (Lax Genius) — My #9. Nice 4Q comeback falls short against a tough Maryland team. (maddog9718) — #9 I don't know what Duke is going to do if its midfield does not pick up. They lost 11-10, but watching the game I was surprised it was that close. (OCanada) — Staying put at#7. Tough loss to the improving Terps. (oldbartman) — (P33#11) - At this rate, possibility of going .500 if they fail to score from midfield. This team is going to have to play well on the road to improve record. (Paesan33) — My #8. Still a factor. Lurking. (randyrad) — Number 8 - not so dominant, huh IL? Still questioning Coach D's ability to lead and not just delegate decision making to the players. (Rasheed) — #9-LW9-Tough loss to a rising Terps squad. Wrong to drop them from top 10 after MD game. (Strannywastheman) — Depressed in Durham, of that I'm certain! Don't know what to make of this at all. Where are the big middies and their scoring? The attack is carrying all the mail. (Tecumseh) — #10 - Close loss to MD. (VTD)

Hofstra: My #10 - Nice win over Brown doesn't alleviate concerns I have about the D. (Apache) — Nice win over a tough Brown Bears squad. (Baldo) — #9 - Nice win against Brown - big game against Hopkins this week. (Coyote) — Nice win over Brown. (jhu7276) — Still hanging around, still relatively unnoticed. (Ketch) — Could be a strong contender based on first two game scores. (LAF) — #7 - Props to freshman Canadian d-man Adrian Sorchetti with two goals in the win over Brown, raising his total to three in two games. (Lax Genius) — My #6. Offense continues to roll. (maddog9718) — #8 Beat a good Brown team to maintain. Big game next week with Hopkins. (OCanada) — Up three to #10. The Pride is may have a new starter in goal? (oldbartman) — (P33#14) - Still unsure how good Brown is, but what we do know is that Princeton is top 5, maybe top 3. Some credit due there for the Proud Hollandish Lions of Dutch Amsterdam. (Paesan33) — My #12. Still a potential top 10 team. (randyrad) — Number 13. (Rasheed) — #8-LW10-Looked good in win over Brown. (Strannywastheman) — I'm giving Coach "T" and his boys the benefit of the doubt with this win over an untested Brown. (Tecumseh) — #9 - Beat Brown. (VTD)

Loyola: My #11 - Tough road loss. (Apache) — Tough loss to the Irish at M&T. (Baldo) — #10 - Played ND tougher than Duke did. (Coyote) — Over Bellarmine but stumble vs. ND. (jhu7276) — #11 - Fall to 3-1 with a loss to that other Catholic college from the Midwest. (Lax Genius) — #11 Hung with my #5. Neither team looked great in the first half. This might be a tad low and ND might be a tad high in my rankings, but there it is. Also scored 11 goals. (OCanada) — Loss knocks them down to #14. (oldbartman) — (P33#9) - No shame in losing to ND- but has a colossal opportunity to knock off a shaky Duke. (Paesan33) — My #11. Still a potential top 10 team. (randyrad) — Number 11. (Rasheed) — #10-LW12-Lots of offense against Bellarmine. Battled Irish but came up empty in 4th. (Strannywastheman) — I'm certain the Greyhounds would like to have a couple of moments back against the Irish. Still a personal fav! (Tecumseh) — #11 - Consider them practically tied for #10 with Duke right now. (VTD)

Georgetown: My #12 - Nice week for the Hoyas, as they best Harvard and beat a St. John's team that beat them a year ago. (Apache) — Could make some noise in the Big East. (Baldo) — Beat St. John's but lose to UMd. (jhu7276) — I still don't know what to make of Georgetown. (Ketch) — #12 - First big Big East win (no, that's not a typo) against St. John's. Another big Big East date with the Cruisers in the Dome next weekend. (Lax Genius) — #12 Beat Harvard by a goal. I think this is a good slot for them based on results to date. (OCanada) — Up to #11. Will they continue to improve? (oldbartman) — (P33#15) - Biggest win is Harvard, which is just inside my top 20. Solid game against Maryland gets credit. In front of Harvard for defeating them. (Paesan33) — My #9. Two good wins. Can beat anyone. (randyrad) — Number 9. (Rasheed) — #11-LW15-Put up 13 goals, but Harvard scored 4 in last two minutes. With Ehrmann out (huge loss) D needs to pick it up. Held off SJU-finally. (Strannywastheman) — Nice wins over Harvard and St. John's. Will the real Hoya team please stand up! I'm so confused! (Tecumseh) — #12 - Offense seems to be clicking pretty well so far this season. (VTD)

Harvard: My #13 - A loss to Georgetown and a closer than expected win over Holy Cross have me wondering if the Crimson might still be a year away from top 12/NCAA tournament material. (Apache) — Crimson looked a bit shaky against Holy Cross. (Baldo) — Rebounds with win over Holy Cross. (jhu7276) — Not an impressive win over Holy Cross. (Ketch) — #18 - Narrow margin of victory over Holy Cross following on the heels of a loss to Georgetown lends credence to my view of the Crimson. (Lax Genius) — #13 Lost to my #12 GT by a goal. (OCanada) — #13. Needs to get offense in gear. (oldbartman) — (P33#17) - Needed to turn the corner at G'twn to get a signature win. Will have a few more opportunities down the road. I think this team is primed to administer a big upset in 2010. (Paesan33) — My #14. Almost pulled it out at G'town. Still early. (randyrad) — Number 15. (Rasheed) — #12-LW13-Explosive at times, D was lacking. Can score in bunches and nearly stole it from Hoyas. Like this squad. (Strannywastheman) — Holy Cross by only two?!?! Is the Patriot League really getting that much better, or did the unhappy Hoya ending ruin the mood in Cambridge? The next three weeks will tell. (Tecumseh) — #16 - Closer than it should have been against Holy Cross. (VTD)

Navy: My #15 - The offense is less than explosive, but the D backed by the play Wickham has been outstanding. Wickham's save to send the game against Bucknell into OT was unreal. Beat a surprising Lafayette team Friday, and they will be in great shape to host the Patriot tourney. (Apache) — HUGE Patriot win over the Bison will help the Mids psyche a TON. (Baldo) — OT win over Bucknell good in the Patriot League. (jhu7276) — When Navy goes into OT, I always feel like they're going to win. (Ketch) — 13 - Two win week for the Midshipmen. They will show us just how good Lafayette is this week. (Lax Genius) — Nice gutty win against a tough Bucknell team. (maddog9718) — #17 But shaky in my opinion. Beat Bucknell at home to get the W but did not look good doing it. Losing Tim Paul really hurt this team. (OCanada) — Never-give-up Navy wins, my #16. (oldbartman) — (P33#12) - In front of Bucknell for defeating them. UNC blowout stings. (Paesan33) — My #13. Season sustaining win. Relevant again. Team D coming together. Signs of life on offense. (randyrad) — Number 12 - Meade gets nice win over a very good Bucknell. (Rasheed) — #13-LW17-Lehigh was just what the Mids needed. Held off a strong Bison team in OT. Mids took a big step. (Strannywastheman) — Great goaltending, Solid "D", and signs of life of serious ball control. On to the best team in the league on Friday night. (Tecumseh) — #18 - Retained their Patriot League dominance over a Bucknell team I thought would run away with the league. (VTD)

Stony Brook: My #14 - Did what they needed to do against Towson. (Apache) — Nice win over Towson this week. (Baldo) — Dumps the Towson Tigers. (jhu7276) — Looking way ahead, the Seawolves are going to like playing Albany this year. (Ketch) — #14 Beat Towson by a few. Highest I have ever ranked them. (OCanada) — Canada south comes in at #15. (oldbartman) — (P33#16) - Solid win over Towson, but the Tigers are not a top 20 team. Decent 30 min. against UVa. Siena not helping by losing to Hartford. (Paesan33) — My #16. Can't wait to get eyes on this team. (randyrad) — Number 17. (Rasheed) — #16-LW18-Beat Towson. (Strannywastheman) — Love Jordan McBride! Six goals, WOW! (Tecumseh) — #13 - Winning in near-blowout fashion. (VTD)

Delaware: My #20 - Easily handled Albany. (Apache) — Impressive win over Danes to christen new stadium. (Baldo) — Beat Hartford and Albany. (jhu7276) — Had a banner day against Albany's very offensive defense. (Ketch) — #15 - Second win in a row for the Hens after their setback versus Hopkins. (Lax Genius) — #16 Beat the Danes. Seems to be a lot of that going around at the moment. (OCanada) — Blue Hens win again. #12. (oldbartman) — (P33#10) - Beat Albany, solid half against Hopkins, nice win over UMBC. Problem is, all those teams just lost. But Hartford is getting better and may prove a nice win. (Paesan33) — My #17. Good bounce back. (randyrad) — Number 19. (Rasheed) — #17-LW19-Handled a struggling Albany. (Strannywastheman) — Convincing over the Danes. Need to keep it up! (Tecumseh) — #14 - Dominated Albany. Dickson is a scoring machine. (VTD)

Bucknell: My #16 - Almost stole a win after being shut down for three quarters by Navy. (Apache) — Whoops - lost day in Annapolis. (Baldo) — One-goal loss to the Mids stings. (jhu7276) — Will this loss cost Bucknell the home field in the Patriot League, or are there some upsets lurking? (Ketch) — #14 - 2-2, but two OT losses away from a 4-0 start against very tough competition. Should get a good test from Hobart next weekend. (Lax Genius) — #18 Lost to Navy who has not looked good to date. (OCanada) — Tough loss to the Mids, #18 will Brandau return? (oldbartman) — (P33#13) - Competition not helping Bucknell. Navy probably isn't a top 10, and Duke is arguably on the brink, maybe. Nevertheless, Bucknell is good team. (Paesan33) — My #15. Impressive in OT loss. Heartbreak loss of Brandau, but they have the firepower to win out. Will be in the PL final. (randyrad) — Number 14. (Rasheed) — #14-LW14-Played a great game against Navy. Lot of fight in this team. Good bet to win Patriot. (Strannywastheman) — Tough loss for a very good Bison team. This loss will be a "tipping point" to see how the Bison respond going forward. (Tecumseh) — #19 - Disappointing loss to Navy. (VTD)

Brown: My #18 - Good news, bad news game as the offense plays well in the loss to Hofstra but the D concedes 15 in the first game of the post-Jordan Burke era. (Apache) — Tough opening loss to the Dutch on the road. (Baldo) — Lose to the Dutch. (jhu7276) — #17 - A loss versus a tough Hofstra squad to start Bruno's season. Should cruise this week against Hartford and St. Joe's before their first Ivy League test against Harvard in two weeks. (Lax Genius) — #15 Lost to a very good Hofstra team by three goals. Need a little more data to really know where to place them. (OCanada) — My #22. Late starting. Will move up with wins. (randyrad) — Number 16. (Rasheed) — #18-LW11-Hofstra just too much. Tough opener. (Strannywastheman) — Don't know what to make of them, so they stay at #15. (Tecumseh) — #17. (VTD)

UMBC: Still working out the kinks. (Baldo) — Couldn't hang with the Heels. (jhu7276) — #16 - Tough loss against NC. And it gets tougher with games against Hopkins, Princeton and Maryland on tap! (Lax Genius) — #20 Hard to keep them in the top 20, but they gave UNC a game. (OCanada) — Stay put at #21 in loss to UNC. (oldbartman) — (P33#18) - Not meeting expectations thus far, but still pretty good. I trust Don Zimmerman. (Paesan33) — Number 20. (Rasheed) — #21-LW20-Heels too much. Never really in it. (Strannywastheman) — #22. (VTD)

Drexel: My #19 - Their only loss was a tight affair with now #1 UVa. Chance to impress against ND midweek. (Apache) — More than meets the eye at #20. (oldbartman) — (P33#20) - Taking care of business. Manos saving over .600. Don't sleep on the new Drexel. (Paesan33) — My #18. Quietly putting together a good record. (randyrad) — Number 18 - Drexel looking good. (Rasheed) — #20-LW21-Three cupcakes since UVa. Irish will show where Drexel is. (Strannywastheman) — #15 - Taking a flyer because no one else seems to belong here. (VTD)

Lafayette: My #17 - Essentially dominated a good Penn team 14-9 to earn this spot in my poll. Intriguing match-up with Navy happening Friday night in Easton. (Apache) — #20 - Is the 4-0 start a fluke? The Leopards can score - can they defend against top teams? (Coyote) — Tom Perini for President. (Ketch) — Possibly their best team ever. Could win the Patriot League. (LAF) — #19 Beat Penn who lost to Duke last weekend and then had a mid-week game, so Penn had a short week. But then so did others. (OCanada) — The Leopards have changed their spots, up to #19. (oldbartman) — (P33#21) - Biggest win is ... Penn? Bingo? (Paesan33) — My #19. A week late in my rankings, but most worthy. Battling for PL supremacy. Heads up, Navy. (randyrad) — #22-LW NR-Quick 4-0 start; Mids will be a reality test. (Strannywastheman) — The best team in the Patriot League right now, without a doubt. Friday night the Navy invades. (Tecumseh) — #21 - Lost out on last spot to RMU due to strength of victories. (VTD)

Massachusetts: My WL - In their first real test, the Minutemen get taken down by Yale and drop out of my poll. (Apache) — Upended by the Eli. (jhu7276) — #19 - Yale? (Lax Genius) — Thud to #24. (oldbartman) — #19-LW16-An improving Yale shocked them. (Strannywastheman) — Lost to Yale? (Tecumseh) — #24. (VTD)

Yale: My WL - Nice win against Yale gets them some consideration. (Apache) — #18 - Was UMass a quality win? (Coyote) — Beat ZooMass. #22. (oldbartman) — My #20. Surprise UMass. 3-0 = why not? (randyrad) — #23-LW NR-Big program win over UMass. Ran over Presbyterian. (Strannywastheman) — Big win over UMass. Going to a fight to the finish in the Ivy's. (Tecumseh) — #23. (VTD)

Robert Morris: My WL - Their big win is against an 0-3 Penn State squad. Chance to impress for the top 20 with a midweek game against Ohio State. (Apache) — Big time SLEEPER team with lots of scoring punch. (Baldo) — All over VMI by 19-8 count. (jhu7276) — Every time a RM score comes in, I think it's a football score. (Ketch) — Hard to gage a win over VMI - #23. (oldbartman) — (P33#23) - Wins are questionable, but extra credit for doing it ALL on the road. (Paesan33) — My #21. Still undefeated. Could be a top 20 team. (randyrad) — #24-LW NR-Bobby Mo is 3-0. Rhyme it while you can. (Strannywastheman) — #20 - Welcome to the Top 20, Robert Morris. (VTD)

Ohio State: My WL - SOS so far keeps the Buckeyes just on the outside of my poll. Winner of their game against Robert Morris could be top 20 worthy. (Apache) — Buckeyes starting to pick up speed. (Ketch) — Buckeyes barely survive PSU, fall to #17. (oldbartman) — #25. (VTD)

Towson:

Albany: Tough going for Danes so far. (jhu7276) — Falling like a late March Snow storm! (Tecumseh)

Army: Best 1-3 team out there. (Coyote) — One-goal OT loss to Cornell is OK by me. (jhu7276) — I had a thank-you card picked out and everything, but alas, the upset didn't happen. (Ketch) — Played Cornell very tough. Very impressive! (Tecumseh)

Siena: (P33#19) - Not dropping these guys yet. I've seen them play twice already, and I truly think Hartford is much improved. (Paesan33) — #25-LW23-Hartford a bad loss. (Strannywastheman)

St. John's: Hung tough with the Hoyas. (Tecumseh)

Bryant: (P33#24) - Solid body of work, despite the loss. (Paesan33)

Denver: Beat Albany then lost to Penn. (jhu7276)

Hobart: Beats the 'Gate. (jhu7276) — #20 - The Statesmen's 24th consecutive victory over Colgate keeps them in my top 20. C'mon, who else should go here? Lafayette? C'mon people. (Lax Genius)

Other Teams Pollsters Considered (and comments, if any)

Villanova: My WL - Need to go 2-0 this week with games against Penn State and Penn to make my top 20. (Apache)

Penn State:

Penn: Finally beats Tierney after 20 or so years! (LAF) — Another Ivy. #25. (oldbartman) — Two big wins with Denver and the "Zoomies". (Tecumseh)

Dartmouth:

Bellarmine: (P33#22) - Undefeated on road; won games it should have; lost games it should have. (Paesan33)

Jacksonville: (P33#25) - Has defeated some of the best MAAC teams plus Denver. Close losses otherwise. (Paesan33)
