If this is the best attack in Div. III, why aren't they scoring more goals? (corkscrew) — #6- Nice win over a scrappy WNEC team, though the D was aggressive but relatively untested. Offense was able to generate good shots. Surprisingly not a deep team despite massive roster. (D-III) — #2--Workmanlike effort over WNEC. (general21111) — Outscored their opponents 31-15 this week ... Still my #1 team from the preseason ... We know that they can score goals, but once again the key is the defense and Hebert, and they have been sensational this year ... Mustangs have depth at midfield now whereas that was an early concern. D needs to tighten up a bit but the O looks solid enough to carry them on to great success. The D looks strong despite losses to graduation, and the O is diverse at midfield and attack. (general21111) — The Bullets dominated the face-off X and the tempo of the game against Cortland ... Gettysburg moves up to #3 in my poll ... Brody reminding us that he is still a POY candidate. (goalielax10) — Four quality wins and a big one on LI. If the Bullets are this good early, watch out. (idealtin) — My #2. Huge win for the Bullets over the highly favored Dragons. Defense proved to be much better than expected. Held Cortland to just one first half goal. Cahill, Lynch, Brody, and McGrath continue to carry this team on offense. Finally took care of business as I expected against Cortland - #1. (stamp) — #1 Great defensive effort in taking down Cortland. Solid play all around. Red and his pesky black Squirrels come to the Burg this week. Always a tight game. I thought the Cavs would keep it closer versus them, but they just couldn't keep up with Roanoke's offense ... The defense and Dorsey are playing great ... There is a little time in between, but I am looking forward to their 3/27 match-up with Stevenson. (goalielax10) — Lots of scoring in all games did not think much of it until the beat-down applied to Cabrini. (idealtin) — My #5. Blew out Cabrini this past weekend, 21-7. This offense seems loaded with talent. Big game against Dickinson this Saturday. Noke only beat Dickinson by one goal last year. (LaxUnlimited) — #5 - Off to great start and big early win over Cabrini; have a tough one Wednesday against an improved Dickinson team. (MasonDixonLine29) — #4 Dismantled a very good Cabrini - hitting on all cylinders. (minkhoo) — #1. Their total domination of Cabrini and everybody else that they have played puts them at the top spot. (Richard) — Crushed Cabrini. 114 goals in 5 games. Maroons looking good, but need some better competition, which they'll face in the Dickinson tilt - #4. (stamp) — #2 Noke is on fire right now. Question is.. will it last through the entire season or, like last year, fizzle mid-year? (stewlaxdad) — #5 Dominated Cabrini and are looking very strong. (D-III) — #4--Not overly impressive in their wins; face Cortland on 3/10 and OWU on 3/13. (general21111) — Big day for Bradman leads the Gulls over a pesky McDaniel team ... Salisbury holds steady as my #2 team ... 3/10 vs. the defending national champs in Haverford looks to be the game of the year so far ... A little more balanced this year but still would like to see the goal production up just a wee bit. (goalielax10) — Classic match-up next week. OWU at home under the lights is good, but W&L can't forget about Franklin Marshall, a team they have played to one-goal games the last two times they played, and I believe the Generals lost the last time they visited the Diplomats two years ago. Offense was not as good as advertised, though, but it is very early for this NESCAC team. (D-III) — #17--Not impressed with margin of victory over Salve Regina; play Bowdoin on 3/13. The Cardinals are #9 in my poll, and we will know more about this team after their game mid-week vs. Maritime and especially after this weekend's tilt vs. Bowdoin. (goalielax10) — Going by the Swankster on this one. Do not think there will be four from the NESCAC in the top 20 in the end, but we will start here before their season really starts. (idealtin) — My #10. Beat a decent Salve Regina team 8-3 to open the season 1-0. Sophomore Teddy Citrin led the team with 5 points in the victory. (LaxUnlimited) — DNP. New look offense showing promise, zone D solid start. Can't overlook SUNY Maritime before Bowdoin tilt - #8. (stamp) — #11 Get a little better test against Bowdoin this week to support this ranking. (stewlaxdad) — #8 Handled Salve Regina with ease. The Citrin-Killeen attack combo looks to be capable of big things. (Swank_Lax) — Unimpressive win over Salve Regina doesn't exactly inspire confidence. #11. (thatsmell) — Beat Salve Regina and should do same vs. Maritime on 3/10. Rethinking their losses to graduation. They could easily surprise (me at least) the way SLU did, ending their second week 3-0 (after facing Bowdoin 3/13). (turbolax241) — Wins opener. (valaxfan) — 7. Easy win over Salve Regina. Not a ton of goals but no goals allowed in three quarters bodes well for the vaunted Wesleyan zone D. (wheniwasakid...) — #9 -- Thought they'd blow Salve out. Beat previously top-10 Haverford 8-6 on Saturday. Great start to the 2010 season for this team. Moved up in my rankings with the win over Haverford. Interesting match-up with Whittier this week. (LaxUnlimited) — #13 ... beats Haverford. (MasonDixonLine29) — #10 Reports of the Saints' demise appear to be exaggerated. (minkhoo) — #15. Good win vs. Haverford. Another team that seems to have found players. They do have a strong defense. (Richard) — Shocked the Squirrels. Saints could surprise - #12. I think this is my new "Golden Rule of Parity": at this point in D-III lacrosse history, ANY team in or near the Top 20 is getting enough talent to reload immediately even after graduating 8 starters.
