Pollsters' Comments About Teams They Ranked

Tufts: Only one real superstar on this team but tremendous defense, smart, sound and the best "team" in the country. Peaked at the right time. (corkscrew) — #1. Dominated Salisbury in the NC game. Squeaked by Cortland and Middlebury but consistently found a way to get it done all season despite many close games. Congrats to the Jumbos. Return a lot of talent in 2011 on offense and at LSM. (D-III) — #1. Convincing win over Salisbury gives the Jumbos my #1 ranking. I was aware of their skilled offense, but very impressed with the quality of their defensive play and their goaltender. Congrats to the Jumbos. (general21111) — #1. Clear cut #1 and of course national champions ... ran a gauntlet to the championship game deserving of them becoming the national champs ... Jumbos finished 20-1 ... Hessler is all that is advertised and who knew Foglietta would be this strong and lead this team this far after the graduation of Harrigan ... Welcome to the championship table, Tufts - well deserved. (goalielax10) — #1 Great season. National Champs! (idealtin) — #1. Won the National Championship decisively, capping off a 20-1 season. Tufts was clearly the better team Sunday against the best the South had to offer and also beat the prohibitive favorite in the North head-to-head. (laxweforget) — #1 ... Great run through the NCAAs ... well deserved championship!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — #1. A Jumbo-sized move to a National Championship. I had Tufts at #2 in the North behind Cortland as the tourney opened, so I will confess to some skepticism, but the Jumbos proved me wrong. Congratulations on a great season. (minkhoo) — #1. Congrats on the breakthrough. (Richard) — #1. Jumbos did it. They took it to the Sea Gulls in the 1st quarter and kept them in check for the rest of the game. Great victory for the NESCAC. (stamp) — #1. (stewlaxdad) — #1. (Swank_Lax) — 1. Excellent defense wins NCAA title. (valaxfan) — #1. Won when it counted. Won when it didn't count (for the most part). Most athletic team in the country and they imposed their will on opposing teams during crunch time. Team returns some good talent in 2011. (wheniwasakid...) — #1. (Youngred)

Salisbury: Very un-Sea Gull performance in the finals had Haverford, Stevenson and Roanoke wondering how Salisbury made it out of the South. Still beat Gettysburg, Stevenson, and Cortland in regular season. (corkscrew) — #2. Ran into a more athletic team on Sunday, never in the game. With graduation losses, '11 is a question mark for the once mighty Gulls. All in all still had a season that all but a few teams would dream to have. (D-III) — #T2. Would rank the Gulls tied for 2d with Stevenson. Salisbury did not look ready to play in the championship game and dug themselves too big a hole to recover. (general21111) — #2. Pretty much any other team with a 21-2 record and appearance in the Division III championship game would be happy ... But no CAC championship and totally being run off the field and outplayed in the first quarter plus against Tufts on the biggest stage, is something we are not used to when it comes to Sea Gull lacrosse. I haven't seen a quarter plus of Sal. being that dominated since '03 when Cortland's Hughes, Degnan and Feltman went on a run before halftime ... Salisbury always reloads, but the question spinning forward is can they regroup and get refocused. (goalielax10) — #2 Still the class of the South. (idealtin) — #2. Did not look like it Sunday in Baltimore, but I give it the edge over Stevenson for #2 on the basis of winning 2 out of 3. (laxweforget) — #2 ... Great program ... hold your heads high ... better team won last Sunday!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — #2. Another outstanding season but finishes without a ring. (minkhoo) — #2. (Richard) — #2. The Sea Gulls couldn't get in high gear against the Jumbos. Credit Tufts defense. They'll be hungrier next season. (stamp) — #2. (stewlaxdad) — #4. (Swank_Lax) — 2. Victim of a very good defense game. (valaxfan) — #3. SU is back with a stable of athletes who are willing to put in the work. Rough start for the Gulls in the NC game and the heat prevented them from coming back. (wheniwasakid...) — #2. (Youngred)

Stevenson: Tremendous team, great offense, great face-off, but just could not beat Salisbury when it counted most. Two years does not an elite program make, but they are headed in that direction. (corkscrew) — #5. Solid team. Like last year, a lot of awards, high rankings but ultimately not quite enough to make the title game. 2011 could be their last chance, looking at the roster, as the door may shut quickly. (D-III) — #T2. Would rank the Mustangs tied with Salisbury for 2d. The tournament committee did Stevenson no favors by giving the higher seed to Salisbury. (general21111) — #3. The bar was set high this year in Mustang land and a heartbreaking OT loss to Sal. slammed the door shut before they could make a move to Baltimore ... Stevenson (as mentioned before) is now the hunted and over these next few years we will see exactly where the program is headed with the departure of key upperclassmen ... 19-2 is solid, but finished 1-2 against Salisbury ... big year between the pipes, the attack unit and of course at the face off X. (goalielax10) — #4 Had all the ingredients this year should have put it together nice season. (idealtin) — #3. 19-2 with its only losses coming to national runner-up, but it probably feels like a disappointing season for a program aimed so high. (laxweforget) — #3 (Tied) Great season on the field. (MasonDixonLine29) — #3. Established themselves as an elite team. (minkhoo) — #3. (Richard) — #3. Lost a national semifinal heart-breaker in OT to Salisbury. They'll be back next year. (stamp) — #3. (stewlaxdad) — #5. (Swank_Lax) — 3. Close. (valaxfan) — #4. The Mustangs are here and they are for real. If Beaner stays, they will contend for decades. (wheniwasakid...) — #4. (Youngred)

Cortland: Stumbled in the semifinals but a very potent team. (corkscrew) — #3. Left wondering what could have been. Had Tufts on the ropes, but could not match the intensity when it mattered in the second half. Graduated some key seniors but return a ton, including the D3 POY. (D-III) — #4. Congratulations on another great year. This team is not afraid to schedule the other top D3 teams, North or South. (general21111) — #4. The old adage goes, and sticks, that you have to play four complete quarters of any lacrosse game, especially when a trip to Baltimore is on the line. 17-3 is a solid season and Cortland may have found a 4-year starter between the pipes for them moving forward ... Cortland continues to try and schedule good out of conference teams and even with a few graduation hits at the midfield, the cupboard is by no means bear in Red Dragon land and congrats to Deluca for winning player of the year. (goalielax10) — #3 For a team that plays run and gun, they got gunned downed by Tufts. Do not know why they changed what worked for them all year. (idealtin) — #5. Hard to knock what it accomplished. It just wasn't quite as good as expected in 2010. (laxweforget) — #3 (Tied) My pick to be the North rep. in final game ... Tufts is that good!!! Great season and bright future!! (MasonDixonLine29) — #5. No really big wins for this Dragon team. (minkhoo) — #7. (Richard) — #4. The Red Dragons fell at home to the Jumbos in the national semifinals. A surprising loss, but it catapulted Tufts to the national championship. (stamp) — #4. (stewlaxdad) — #2. (Swank_Lax) — 4. Close too. (valaxfan) — #2. Gave Tufts their closest tourney game. Deep, talented and came up just short in their repeat bid. Best two teams were from the North in 2010. (wheniwasakid...) — #3. (Youngred)

Roanoke: Amazing offensive team with a defense to match this year. 72 shots vs. Stevenson is remarkable, or were the 27 Stevenson saves amazing? One of the best Roanoke teams ever assembled. (corkscrew) — #6. Great win at Gettysburg. Graduating a big senior class which had little overall success in NCAAs compared to awards received. A lot of holes to fill in '11 but will always be a threat. (D-III) — #6. Gave Stevenson all they could ask for. Although I know the Noke fans had visions of a final four (at least), this team made a great showing in the NCAA tournament. (general21111) — #5. Good news is Roanoke had numerous All-Americans, broke (their own) ODAC record for wins, and made the NCAAs ... bad news is, it is another exit in the tournament for the Maroons ... 18-3 record but a heartbreaking OT loss to Stevenson in one of the more entertaining lacrosse games of the past few years. (goalielax10) — #5 Great season. Did expect them to finish a little better. (idealtin) — #4. Great season. I rank them the highest of the 3-loss teams. (laxweforget) — #5 Very good season and nice run in NCAAs. (MasonDixonLine29) — #4. What a battle at Stevenson. Great run for a very strong team. (minkhoo) — #4. (Richard) — #5. Almost pulled out the victory against Stevenson in an epic, Elite 8 OT battle. (stamp) — #5. (stewlaxdad) — #8. (Swank_Lax) — 5. Maroons almost make it. (valaxfan) — #6. Roanoke had the offense to play with anyone but just let in one too many goals in one game and their season ended. Very good team. (wheniwasakid...) — #5. (Youngred)

Haverford: Peaked at the right time but just could not deliver the knock-out blow to the Gulls. Another strong team at the end. (corkscrew) — #7. Strong run after a rocky season. Great group of seniors return in '11 and should be the favorite to win the Centennial (again). (D-III) — #5. Great run by the Black Squirrels; at the end of the year we saw the real team after recovering from early season injuries. My ranking of this team is based on their status at the end of the year. (general21111) — #6. A team that I have had my doubts about all year. The Fords were never the sexy pick to win lacrosse games, but played with grit and determination that led them to a C.C. championship and on the brink of eliminating Salisbury in the "Elite 8" ... Scary looking at what they return next year, and my hat's off to the Fords and maybe there should have been a "Co"-Coach of the year award given out. (goalielax10) — #6 Impressive at the end - came close - had too many heart-breakers. Excellent year. (idealtin) — #10. Maybe a little better than 10th best team at year end. Its full season record, 12-6, causes me to rank it here. Returns over 80% of its points in 2011, so should be in the thick of things again. (laxweforget) — #10 Nice run through NCAAs ... tough OT loss to Salisbury. (MasonDixonLine29) — #6. Fantastic run at the end of the season showed this team can play with their backs to the wall. (minkhoo) — #5. (Richard) — #7. Great season for the Fords with an Elite 8 appearance losing in OT to Salisbury. This club really came on strong at the tail end of the season. (stamp) — #7. (stewlaxdad) — #7. (Swank_Lax) — Nice run at end of the season. (valaxfan) — #9. Haverford never lived up to their expectations until the end of the season, when it matters most. They were only a few games away from an unreal storybook finish. (wheniwasakid...) — #6. (Youngred)

Gettysburg: Another quality team, but lost to Roanoke team in the NCAAs. (corkscrew) — #8. Disappointing May. Will be back in the mix next season as a lot of depth returns, but for the first time ever won't be the favorite in the Centennial. (D-III) — #7. Bullets closed the year by losing two big games to Haverford and Roanoke. (general21111) — #8. One year removed from the national championship game, Gettysburg found themselves getting knocked out of the NCAAs in devastating fashion in overtime ... Always a well disciplined and coached team, this year proved no different as they finished 15-3 with all three losses coming by a combined 4 goals ... The C.C. is alive and better than it has been in a long time, but the Bullets become the hunter instead of the hunted now. Solid year for Danno Lynch. (goalielax10) — #7 Nice year, not a strong finish. (idealtin) — #6. Certainly it would not belong this high based where it was at year end. When the chips were on the line, it lost both conference and NCAA tournament games it was favored in. But its full season body of work puts it here. (laxweforget) — #7 Great season ... tough OT loss in NCAAs. (MasonDixonLine29) — #7. Not exactly a down year but not a vintage year for the Bullets with no Centennial crown or NCAA wins. (minkhoo) — #6. (Richard) — #10. I thought this club had the potential to make it to the final four. The Roanoke Maroons thought otherwise and ended the Bullets 2010 campaign. (stamp) — #6. (stewlaxdad) — #9. (Swank_Lax) — #7. Another strong Southern team that was in the mix all season. (wheniwasakid...) — #9. (Youngred)

Middlebury: Came on strong in NESCAC playoffs and in the NCAAs. (corkscrew) — #4. Just like Cortland, a team that had Tufts on the ropes (twice) at Tufts. Other than Tufts and perhaps Cortland, no team was playing better lacrosse in May, after a rocky season. Return many key starters in '11. (D-III) — #8. The Panthers continued to improve over the season. (general21111) — #7. Good year for the Panthers at 13-6, but it seemed like a quiet 13-6 season ... Offense seemed lacking in scoring punch, but Middlebury made a solid run to the Final 4 ... Pete Smith a fine 4-year career and a heady and unselfish kid. (goalielax10) — #11 Played well towards the end of the year. (idealtin) — #9. Panthers really improved over the course of the season. No doubt in my mind its was a Top 10 team and 2nd best in NESCAC at year end. However, I rank it here, and not higher, given its full season performance. (laxweforget) — #6 Superb end of season run. (MasonDixonLine29) — #8. This team could be very good but had to face off against the new national champs three times. (minkhoo) — #8. (Richard) — #6. Couldn't believe that the Panthers would lose three times to the Jumbos, but they did. Have no fear; the Panthers will be back in the hunt next season. (stamp) — #8. (stewlaxdad) — #3. (Swank_Lax) — Plays some great lax towards the end to position themselves well. (valaxfan) — #5. Midd made a nice run late in the season (as they often do) and proved they are for real even when most think they're down. (wheniwasakid...) — #7. (Youngred)

RIT: Played well down the stretch. (corkscrew) — #10. Had a nice run down the stretch but blown out by Cortland in the quarters. Last season in the E8 coming up - looking to go out with a bang but graduated several studs. (D-III) — #10. A good season including a nice tournament win over Conn. College. (general21111) — #9. I did not see a 14-6 record coming from this team ... Coach Jake Coon getting a team he has coached for less than a year gets much of the credit ... Juniors across the board stepped up and Tonnessen (although not flashy) was steady between the pipes ... The future is bright in Rochester. (goalielax10) — #9 This year there were two conferences in the North the NESCAC and the E8. The Tigers did what I thought and had a great run. Fantastic season and kudos to Jake Coon. (idealtin) — #11. Maybe a little better than 11th best team at year end. Its full season record, 14-6, would normally cause me to rank it slightly lower than this. RIT is special case in that it was a different team when some key players were hurt mid-season. So I rank it here. (laxweforget) — #8 Made Elite Eight due to all on board with new coach and his way ... only looks better next year!! Class act of E8!!! (MasonDixonLine29) — #11. A big E8 championship and an NCAA win for the Tigers. (minkhoo) — #12. (Richard) — #8. The Tigers had a great season but ran out of gas against Cortland in their Elite 8 tilt. (stamp) — #9. (stewlaxdad) — #11. (Swank_Lax) — #8. A new coach installing a new system with talented players can take some time. Watch out for the Tigers in 2011, as 2010 was a scary good transition year. (wheniwasakid...) — #8. (Youngred)

Connecticut College: Great year but new to the NCAA playoff atmosphere, and it showed. (corkscrew) — #11. Upstart team that faded late. Likely overachieved. Still have top-20 potential in '11. (D-III) — #11. Very good season for the Camels, but faded at the finish. (general21111) — #10. A team many picked to finish last had an incredible 14-3 season along with a regular season NESCAC title, a top 10 ranking and numerous coaching and player awards ... The Camels seemed to run out of gas, losing 3 out of their 4 last games but still had a terrific season and made waves in the NESCAC. (goalielax10) — #10 Great season will be hard to repeat. Lots of close games - impressive run in a tough division. (idealtin) — #8. Not sure this was a Top 10 team at year end. But its full season body of work puts it here. (laxweforget) — #12 Very good team w/ bright future. (MasonDixonLine29) — #12. Great season somewhat fizzled at the end. (minkhoo) — #10. (Richard) — #9. The Camels had a tremendous regular season and got some valuable NCAA experience. This club made some big strides and should only get better. (stamp) — #10. (stewlaxdad) — #6. (Swank_Lax) — Not what we thought they were. (valaxfan) — #10. Conn was probably a year away but showed they have the talent and desire to get it done. If the Camels are content during the off season, the will drop back to reality next year. If they step it up, they can be world beaters. (wheniwasakid...) — #10. (Youngred)

Dickinson: Great season but not at the elite level with the other teams who advanced in NCAAs. (corkscrew) — #12. Similar to Conn College, an overachiever that faded. Unlikely to repeat success in '11, but still a top-20 caliber program. (D-III) — #9. Great season for the Devils; ran into a hot Haverford team in the Tournament. (general21111) — #13. With a 15-3 record (all three losses to Centennial teams) Dickinson is looking to make this a three-team race in the C.C. ... won their first/opening round game before falling to Haverford in the next round ... Matt Cherry is a star in the making. (goalielax10) — #8 Impressive run played great lax all season. (idealtin) — #7. Fairly certain it would not belong this high based where it was at year end. But its full season body of work puts it here. Losing a lot to graduation after this season and could be down next year. (laxweforget) — #11 Great season. (MasonDixonLine29) — #9. A good run for the Red Devils including an NCAA win. (minkhoo) — #9. (Richard) — #13. A solid season culminating in a sweet 16 appearance. (stamp) — #12. (stewlaxdad) — #10. (Swank_Lax) — #13. Dickinson made a real push to be taken for real this year. They need to take it to the next level in 2011. (wheniwasakid...) — #11. (Youngred)

Rensselaer: #9. Came up short in the NCAAs but had an excellent season that came out of nowhere. Will be hard pressed to repeat their success in '11. (D-III) — #12. Made the tournament, but margin of loss to Middlebury was disappointing. (general21111) — #12. Someone finally was able to take down the Goliath known as St. Lawrence ... just didn't have it against Middlebury in the playoffs (and regular season) ... 14-3 is nothing to sneeze at. (goalielax10) — #13 LL champs nice job. (idealtin) — #13. Ran into a Middlebury team that played its best in their NCAA tournament game and was demolished. Still, based on its full season body of work it belongs here. (laxweforget) — #9 Great run through playoffs ... future looks bright for this program. (MasonDixonLine29) — #10. Dethroned St. Lawrence in the Liberty. (minkhoo) — #11. (Richard) — #11. The Engineers made it to the Sweet 16, but unfortunately had to face a veteran Middlebury club that's been there many times before. The Panthers moved on and the Engineers went home. (stamp) — #11. (stewlaxdad) — #14. (Swank_Lax) — #15. Another good upstate team in the strong Liberty League that needs to do something to get into the top 10. Tough jump to make. (wheniwasakid...) — #13. (Youngred)

Cabrini: Not in the same league as the top 10. (corkscrew) — #14. Nice win over Denison in NCAAs, but uncompetitive with a top-10 team Stevenson. Graduated Grugan and will be down in '11. (D-III) — #16. (general21111) — #11. The Cavs beat a good Denison team in the NCAAs before running into a buzzsaw in Stevenson ... Although the conference is weak, the program itself is taking the steps to be considered a top 15 team ... Improved their OOC schedule and went 15-4 ... Cabrini should retire Casey Grugan's jersey for what he has done for and meant to the men's lacrosse program. (goalielax10) — #17. (idealtin) — #12. Winning a tournament game gave its fine record the credibility it never had with me previously. I move them way up my rankings. (laxweforget) — #13 Nice run through NCAAs. (MasonDixonLine29) — #14. Another CSAC championship and a first-round win. (minkhoo) — #17. (Richard) — #12. The Cavaliers had a solid season, but they were manhandled in the Sweet 16 by Stevenson. (stamp) — #13. (stewlaxdad) — #17. (Swank_Lax) — #19. Cabrini is very good, but their weak schedule hurt them as they weren't ready for the high level of NCAA play ... at least not ready enough to make a real run. (wheniwasakid...) — #12. (Youngred)

Lynchburg: On the outside looking in. If not for Roanoke, would have won the ODAC. (corkscrew) — #20. No big wins out of conference and a notch below Roanoke. That said, could be the ODAC favorite in 2011. (D-III) — #14. (general21111) — #15. Losing what they did (senior-wise) the previous season, and improving on their win total moving forward this year, is an accomplishment in its own right ... OWU loss was a little shaky but the Hornets played well down the stretch and "beat everyone they were suppose to" ... Hoff has more total points than both Cranston and Tolson had at this points in their respective lax careers. (goalielax10) — #12. (idealtin) — #14. 13-5 with no wins against teams I ranked. Not a very strong resume at this rank, but the best of the remaining choices. (laxweforget) — #16 Probably the best non-NCAA qualifier team ... very bright future. (MasonDixonLine29) — #15. Good team, just not enough Pool C berths. (minkhoo) — #14. (Richard) — #16. The Hornets were excluded from the NCAA dance. They had a solid 2010 campaign. (stamp) — #15. (Swank_Lax) — #12. A good inexperienced team has Lynchburg looking up down the line. (wheniwasakid...) — #14. (Youngred)

Denison: Lots of hype going into the year, but did not live up to it. (corkscrew) — #16. Disappointing season, fading after early season win over Haverford. What happened? (D-III) — #17. (general21111) — #14. Just couldn't get it done down the stretch ... 10-4 isn't a bad season but some say the Big Red got lucky in finishing 4th in the NCAC and still making NCAAs. (goalielax10) — #15. (idealtin) — #16. I don't know if it belongs this high. It couldn't win games when it had to in either NCAC or NCAA. It did beat Haverford and OWU early in the season and on that basis I rank it here. (laxweforget) — #14 Great season ... tough to be a Midwest team in D-III. (MasonDixonLine29) — #19. Somewhat disappointing season with no NCAC championship or NCAA win. (minkhoo) — #19. (Richard) — #14. I thought the Big Red would go further in the NCAA tournament, but they fell to Cabrini in their NCAA first-round match up. (stamp) — #14. (stewlaxdad) — #11. Denison looked good all season getting up for most big games but when everyone else was up at the end, Denison came back down to Earth. (wheniwasakid...) — #15. (Youngred)

St. John Fisher: Solid overall team, but not enough quality wins to get into NCAAs. (corkscrew) — #19. (D-III) — #13. (general21111) — #25. Finished 16-2 but had one loss too many to make NCAAs ... Always seem to find a way to get it done. (goalielax10) — #20 Had they played a tougher schedule they might have gone a little farther, as they had a very good group of seniors. (idealtin) — #18. Proved more pretender than contender when crunch time came. Still, 16-2 record deserves, at least, this ranking. (laxweforget) — #18 Enough has been said of their out-of-conference schedule ... we'll see what happens. (MasonDixonLine29) — #13. Best team not in NCAAs. (minkhoo) — #13. (Richard) — #17. No invite to the NCAA dance but nevertheless a fine 2010 campaign. (stamp) — #15. (stewlaxdad) — #20. (Swank_Lax) — Trips up at the end - would have made NCAAs. (valaxfan) — #16. St. JF is improving but still don't have that "prime time" season to hang their hat on that a team needs to be considered a contender. You need to get it done, to prove you can get it done, at least to the pollsters (myself included). Tufts is a great example of this. (wheniwasakid...) — #17. (Youngred)

Geneseo: Tough championship game with Cortland. (corkscrew) — #13. Return a bunch of talent after an average season by their standards. (D-III) — #15. (general21111) — #21. Defense will take a hit, but Lange and the offense will be back and better than ever ... Although sights are set on Cortland and the SUNYAC title, can't have slip ups in conference play ... I am staying away from the OOC argument. (goalielax10) — #19 Incredible but one loss can ruin a season. (idealtin) — #19. Not a good 2nd half to its season. Still, I don't think there were 20 better teams than Geneseo in 2010. Returns a lot in 2011 and should be much better. (laxweforget) — #19 Get a lot of hype early on in season ... needs to get over the Cortland hump. (MasonDixonLine29) — #20. Still struggling to get in the tourney. (minkhoo) — #16. (Richard) — #18. Blue Knights were left off the NCAA invite list, but they had a solid 2010 campaign. (stamp) — #16. (stewlaxdad) — #13. (Swank_Lax) — #17. Genny had some players that will be tough to replace, and they need better depth to beat Cortland and have a shot at the NCAAs. (wheniwasakid...) — #20. (Youngred)

Nazareth: Cooled off at the end. (corkscrew) — #19. (general21111) — #17. The Empire 8 took its toll on the Golden Flyers, but at 12-5 they did manage to get four All-Americans ... Since 2001, when Coach Randall took over, Nazareth has only had one season where they did not have double-digits in wins (2002), and they went 9-5 that year. (goalielax10) — #14 Faltered down the stretch; needed more production from the midfield. (idealtin) — #15. Not a good finish, losing 3 of its last 4. Beat some good teams along the way and had no hideous losses. Ranked here based on full season body of work. (laxweforget) — #20 Great E8 team that got lost at the end of the season. (MasonDixonLine29) — #16. Couldn't overcome RIT in the E8. (minkhoo) — #15. (Richard) — #20. (stewlaxdad) — #18. (Swank_Lax) — #14. Up and down year that ended in disappointment for the Golden Flyers. Talent is there but they need an x-factor. (wheniwasakid...) — #21. (Youngred)

Ohio Wesleyan: Played tight with Dickinson. Had a very solid year. (corkscrew) — #18. Lived off one win in February against Lynchburg; probably ranked too high here. (D-III) — #18. NCAC CHAMPS ... were beat by a better team in NCAAs. (goalielax10) — #17. I don't know if it belongs this high. It did beat Lynchburg early in the season and win its conference championship. Losing a lot to graduation after this season - should be down next year. (laxweforget) — #15 Had a very good season ... but just like Denison ... hard to be Midwest team in D-III. (MasonDixonLine29) — #15. The Bishops made it to the NCAA dance, but Dickinson sent them home early. (stamp) — #18. (stewlaxdad) — #16. (Youngred)

Montclair State: Great season in NJ. (corkscrew) — #18. (general21111) — #20. Opened up some eyes this year with wins against Wesleyan, Stevens and RPI ... They continue to dominate the Skyline conference and seem to get better every year ... OOC schedule is great and had arguably their best season in program history and was able to host a NCAA game. (goalielax10) — #20. Loss to unranked team in the NCAA tournament suggests it may not deserve a ranking. Based on its full season body of work, I make it the "last one in" over Goucher and HSC. (laxweforget) — #17 Good season ... nice to continue to upgrade out of conference schedule. (MasonDixonLine29) — #18. Great run in the Skyline. (minkhoo) — #18. (Richard) — #20. Solid season with an NCAA appearance. (stamp) — #17. (stewlaxdad) — #20. MSU got some good experience this year and the program seems poised to make the leap to consistent top 20 club. (wheniwasakid...) — #19. (Youngred)

Bowdoin: #15. Peaked at the right time and could be a scary team in '11 if a few poles step up. (D-III) — #16 Played good at the end of the year; needed more of that earlier in the season. (idealtin) — #23. 4th best team in the NESCAC. It belongs in the Top 25. (laxweforget) — #21. (Richard) — #12. (Swank_Lax) — #18. Some really talented players and a good D meant Bowdoin COULD play with anyone ... whether they did or not was another story. (wheniwasakid...)

Endicott: Good showing in NCAAs. (corkscrew) — #19. Their top guys may not be putting up the numbers like they have in years past, but a hard fought win over Montclair and a TCCC championship can't be over looked. (goalielax10) — #17. Wins the Commonwealth and gets an NCAA win. (minkhoo) — #19. The Gulls made it to the sweet 16, but the Jumbos squashed them. (stamp) — #19. (stewlaxdad) — #25. (Youngred)

Wesleyan: #16. (Swank_Lax) — #21. Wesleyan ended the season strongly but they need to get back to what made them successful, which is extra work in the off-season and better team speed. (wheniwasakid...)

Ithaca: #23. Put it together a little to late in the season, but still made a great run to win the Empire 8 AQ. (goalielax10) — #18 Finally put it together just a little too late. Would have beat 95% of the rest of the country in May. Good salvage to a bad start. (idealtin) — #19. (Swank_Lax)

Goucher: #17. Young team that made a nice run. (D-III) — #24. In a conference that was supposed to be dominated by Scranton and others, congrats to the Gophers on not reading what other people said, putting forth a tremendous season, and making NCAAs (while also capturing the Landmark Conference title). (goalielax10) — #21. 14-4 and played Middlebury tough in NCAA. Its worst losses were to WAC and Eastern Conn. and probably cost it a Top 15 ranking. Played a decent schedule. Returns a lot in 2011 and should hit the rankings next year. (laxweforget) — #20. (Richard)

Springfield: #16. Always seem to be there at the end of the season and make NCAAs. (goalielax10) — #24. (Youngred)

Hampden-Sydney: #22. 13-5 and all its losses were to teams I ranked in the Top 15. Best win was W&L. (laxweforget) — #24. (Richard) — #18. (Youngred)

Colorado College: #20. (general21111) — #22. The sting of missing NCAAs hurts but coach Van Arsdale did a great job his first at the helm ... The question is, who don't they have coming back?? (goalielax10) — #25. 12-2 is a great record, and it should have been in the NCAA field rather than 3rd NCAC team. But, if it is going to play that weak a schedule, it can't afford to get blown out by Denison. (laxweforget) — #25. (Richard) — #22. (Youngred)

Washington & Lee: #24. One of the biggest disappointments to me in 2010. I still don't see 25 better teams in 2010. Losing a lot to graduation after this season - could be down next year. (laxweforget)
