Lacrosse Recruits for 2002

Our lists allow you to select and sort players by division, name, hometown, state, high school, position, and college.  One important note: These lists contain early signers, other recruits, and walk-ons who are planning to try out in the hope of making the team.  Although the presence of the latter group may create some confusion, we have decided to include them.  While some of them will not make the team, neither will some of the "real" recruits.  Because someone's name appears on the list does not necessarily mean that he or she has signed a letter of intent or otherwise made a formal commitment to attend the school in question.  Again this year, LaxPower's thanks go to Tom Lener (men's) and Alec Macmillan (women's) for their help in compiling these lists.  If you have names to submit or information to correct, send the same type of data shown in the tables (or as much of it as you have) to dan@laxpower.com.  We are especially interested in hearing from coaches, SIDs, or other college representatives.

FAQs and Tips on Listing and Searching

  • How can I view the recruits by school instead of by name?  The column headers are "clickable" -- a click will sort the recruits by the values in that field, and a second click on the same column heading will reverse the sort order.  For example, click on the College column to sort the database by name of school.

  • Is it possible to see only the recruits from, say, one state?  You betcha (we betray our Midwestern roots).  Click on Search above (or View if you already have a table of recruits showing), then fill in the appropriate line(s) on the Search the Database form to limit your search.

  • Can I view more (or fewer) than 20 recruits per page?  Yes, but you need to use the Search option above (or View, if a table of recruits is being displayed).  On the Search the Database form, look for the small cell next to "Max. Returned Hits" and change this value to some larger or smaller number.  The table returned when you click View Records will then contain more (or fewer) records.

  • How do I view the men's recruits for non-NCAA colleges such as USLIA schools?  Use the Search/View option (second bullet above) and enter U for USLIA, P for P/G, J for junior and community college, or C for club in the box for Division.
