
The following images represent, in chronological order, plays involving
Syracuse junior midfielder Casey Powell. There are 19 plays and each play
is designated by a number from 3 to 21. If more than one image depicts
a play, then letters are used; e.g., 21a, 21b and 21c. The game was the
1997 NCAA Division I semifinal between Maryland and Syracuse. Syracuse
eventually lost the game 18-17. Casey Powell took eight shots, scored
four goals, committed two penalties, and drew eight Maryland penalties.
Penalties were called on Maryland defenders: Senior defenseman Dave
LaChapelle, Junior defenseman Mike Bonanni, Junior defenseman Brian Reese,
and Sophomore midfielder Erik Osberg.
