In 1996, Washington College came back from a 10-7 deficit in the fourth quarter to tie Nazareth at 10-10 and send the Division III championship game into overtime. In the ensuing face-off, Washington College (black) appeared to have won the face-off when the following play occurred, resulting in a Nazareth (white) goal for the championship.
