Trombino, Hewit Lead #6 Princeton Past Stubborn Brown
Princeton, N.J. -- The 2007 edition of the Princeton-Brown men's lacrosse rivalry was not too much diffferent than the most of the 13 that preceded it: The teams played a very close game, and Princeton won. Peter Trombino scored three goals and had an assist and Alex Hewit made 11 saves as Princeton held off the Bears 8-7 Saturday afternoon in front of 2,572 fans at the Class of 1952 Stadium. The win was the 14th straight for Princeton over Brown and the ninth of those 14 to be decided by three goals or less. It was also the second straight year that Princeton won the game by one goal after a 6-5 win in Providence a year ago. [full story]
