The Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee considers (in no specified order) the following factors in making selections for the tournament, with an emphasis on in-region results:
  • Overall won-lost record
  • In-region won-lost record
  • Overall strength of schedule (average opponents' winning percentage)
  • Head-to-head competition
  • Results against common opponents
  • Eligibility and availability of student-athletes

Secondary Factors for Selecting Teams

When teams under considerataion are tied on all criteria above, the committee will consider the following secondary criteria in the selection process (again not in priority order):
  • Results against Division II out-of-region competition
  • Results against common opponents
  • Results against teams already selected
Teams must have played a minimum of eight games during the traditional season against Division II opponents to be considered for tournament selection.
