#11 Trinity Routs Endicott to Reach NCAA 2nd Round

Hartford, Conn. � Senior co-captain attacker Lauren Malinowski (Longmeadow, Mass.) and junior attacker C.J. Yanofsky (Needham, Mass.) combined to total 13 points on six goals and seven assists, leading the Trinity College Bantams to a 19-3 win over the visiting Endicott College Gulls in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament this afternoon at Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 11 in the nation, improves to 12-5 and advances to the NCAA Second Round at Gettysburg College on Sat., May 12. The win is the first in the NCAA Tournament for the Bantams since 1998 and the first post-season victory in the career of first-year Head Coach Kate Perine (Middlebury, Vt.). [full story]
