#18 Williams Comes Back, Stuns #8 Trinity in NESCAC
Hartford, Conn. – Junior Antonia Clark (New York, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal on an assist by freshman Whitney Thayer (Lancaster, Pa.) with 34 seconds left in the second half of overtime to lead the visiting Williams College Ephs to a 14-13 win over the Trinity College Bantams in the opening round of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women's Lacrosse Championship Tournament this afternoon at Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 2 in New England and No. 8 in the nation, falls to 11-4 with its first loss in five games, while the Ephs, ranked No. 18 nationally, improve to 6-7 with their first win in six games.
