#9 Cortland Cages Golden Bears to Advance in NCAAs
CORTLAND, N.Y. – The nationally ninth-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team scored 13 consecutive goals in the first half to seize control on its way to a 16-4 victory over Western New England College Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the 2007 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. With the win, the Red Dragons improved to 15-3 on the season and advance to the second round of the NCAA playoffs for the ninth straight season where they will face fifth- ranked and two-time defending champion The College of New Jersey.
