#18 Union Upends #16 Clarkson in Liberty Semifinal
POTSDAM, N.Y. – Sophomore midfielder Scott Garibaldi (Summit, N.J.) scored with 40.3 seconds remaining to lift the third-seeded Union College men's lacrosse team to an 8-7 upset win over second-seeded Clarkson in the Liberty League semifinals Friday afternoon at Hantz Field. The win, a program-record 12th for the 18th-ranked Dutchmen, marks the first in Liberty League postseason play for Union, which is set to make the program's first conference title game appearance against top-seeded St. Lawrence Sunday at noon in Canton, N.Y.
