#11 Buckeyes Top #7 Cornell, Advance to Quarterfinals

ITHACA, N.Y. � The No. 11/12 Ohio State men's lacrosse team advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2008 NCAA Championship with a 15-7 win over No. 8-seed Cornell Saturday in Ithaca, N.Y. Ohio State will return to Ithaca next weekend to take on top seed Duke at noon or 2:30 p.m. May 18 in the quarterfinals. The Buckeyes, 11-5 on the year (4-1/t-1st Great Western Lacrosse League), are making their third NCAA tournament appearance and will make their first trip to the quarterfinals next week.
