#5 Shoremen Swat #4 Hornets to Advance in NCAAs

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Senior attackman Chris Read (Baltimore, MD/Boys' Latin) scored five goals and assisted on two others as fifth-ranked host Washington College topped fourth-ranked Lynchburg, 12-9, in an NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament second round game this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen improved to 14-3 with the win and advance to play Gettysburg in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday. The Hornets finish their season at 16-3. [full story]
