#2 NYIT Upends #1 Le Moyne to Capture Division II Title

Foxborough, Mass. - Second-ranked New York Institute of Technology defeated No. 1 Le Moyne this afternoon to capture the Men's Division II national championship. NYIT fell behind 5-2 after the first quarter and still trailed 7-5 with 10 minutes remaining in the first half. After the Bears cut the margin to one at the 9:43 mark, they reeled off three more goals in the last 2:13 -- the second and third with 15 and 7 seconds to go -- to forge a 9-7 lead at the break.
