Guilford Falls to Sewanee in Overtime

SEWANEE, Tenn. (3-21-08) - Guilford College was on the Mountain Friday night and faced off against Sewanee University men's lacrosse action in front of a capacity crowd in the "Pit." After trailing most of the game, Sewanee tied it up 10-10 in the fourth quarter with one minute left on a Louis Smart (Charlotte, N.C.) goal. A minute and a half into the extra period, Teddy Peterson (McLean, Va.) logged his fifth goal of the night, which was the sudden-death winner for Sewanee. Peterson was mobbed by teammates and fans alike, and Sewanee headed to the showers with an 11-10 OT win. [full story]
