EXPLANATION There is no strict formula used by the NCAA Selection committee to determine what teams are invited to the tournament. However, the committee does examine certain criteria and probably priortizes them by some weight factors. The Tournament Selection Index (TSI) attempts to guess at the factors that the committee uses and weighs them uniformly. The TSI factors are: Computer Ranking, Polls, RPI Ranking, Strength of Schedule Ranking, Quality Wins, Losses and performance in the teams final five games. For a further explanation on the TSI, see detailed explanation
