Cortland Edges Brockport for 10th SUNYAC Title in a Row

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Senior Rachel Cornwell (Fairport) scored with 20 seconds left in regulation to lift the nationally 19th-ranked Cortland women's lacrosse team to a thrilling 14-13 win versus Brockport Saturday afternoon in the SUNYAC Tournament championship game. The Red Dragons won their 11th consecutive game, 10th conference tournament title in a row and secured an automatic NCAA berth as they improved to 14-5 overall on the season. The Golden Eagles, who fell to Cortland, 16-14 in overtime at home earlier in the season, dropped to 12-4 with the setback.   [full story]
