#9 Amherst Starts Fast, Holds on to Down Springfield

AMHERST, MA � The Amherst College women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 6-0 lead in its 2008 home opener on Gooding Field and held on for a 13-8 win over visiting Springfield College. Junior Amy Craig (Denver, CO) netted six goals for the Lord Jeffs, who improve to 2-0 on the season. The Pride fall to 1-1 with the loss. [full story]
