#3 Maryland Trounces Temples to Reach Quarterfinals

COLLEGE PARK, Md. � Senior Katie Pumphrey ignited the Maryland offense with her first goal of the season and the third-seeded Terrapins ended the game with a 12-1 run en route to a 20-7 victory on Mother's Day in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship. The Terps will host No. 12 Duke on Saturday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the quarterfinals at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. [full story]
