No. 7 Tufts Gets by Amherst to Advance in NESCACs

MEDFORD, MA – The 8th-seeded Amherst College women's lacrosse team traveled to take on top-seed and 7th-ranked Tufts University this afternoon, in the quarterfinal round of the 2009 NESCAC Championship Tournament. The Lord Jeffs held a 5-4 halftime lead, but were out-scored 10-6 in the second half to end the season with a 14-11 loss. Amherst falls to 6-8 on the year, while Tufts improved to 14-1. [full story]
