General Information The Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship consists of a four-team, single-elimination tournament. One team from each of the geographic regions (North, Central, South) and one at-large team from any region will be selected. Teams must have a .500 or better record versus Division II opponents to be selected. See conferences for members and current standings. The distribution of institutions by geographic region is as follows:
Primary Factors for Selecting Teams The Division II Men's Lacrosse Committee considers (in no specified order) the following factors in making selections for the tournament, with an emphasis on in-region results:
If evaluation of the primary criteria does not result in a decision, the committee will consider the following secondary criteria in the selection process (again not in priority order):
Teams must have played a minimum of eight games during the traditional season against Division II opponents to be considered for tournament selection. |
