Shane is a 3-D computer graphics artist who has worked for leading computer game companies. He modeled (and texture-mapped) the 3-D stick shown below using a program called "3-D Studio". He then rendered the stick with lighting and shadows turned-on and animated the motion of the stick in two distinct cradles: Cradle Number 1 and Cradle Number 2. The images were saved (about 24) and collected in "animated gif" format. Each animation requires downloading of 200K bytes. My preference is Cradle Number 2 but Shane insisted on using Cradle Number 1. What can you do? Artists are sometimes temperamental - especially the good ones!
