Johns Hopkins defeats Cornell in the championship game ending Cornell's 42 game winning streak.
(2) 1983
Syracuse defeats Johns Hopkins in the championship game. Trailing 12-5 in the 3rd quarter, Syracuse stages a miraculous comeback.
(3) 1998
Syracuse defeats Pennsylvania in the semi-final game. Gary Gait leaps over the goal to score perhaps the most memorable goal in college lacrosse -- "Air Gait".
(4) 1993
Syracuse defeats North Carolina in the championship game. With the scored tied late in the game, Syracuse wins on Matt Rider's goal with eight seconds left.
(5) 1997
Princeton defeats Duke in the semifinal game. Duke scores to go ahead 9-7 with 2 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.
(6) 1988
Syracuse defeats Pennsylvania in the semi-final game. Tied with Penn at 10-10, Paul Gait scores with the clock winding down.
(7) 1997
Maryland defeats Syracuse in the semifinal game. Casey Powell scores one of four goals in a losing cause.
(8) 1987
Johns Hopkins defeats Cornell in the championship game. Hopkins' Quint Kessenich earns MVP honors with dazzling play in the goal.
(9) 1997
Princeton defeats Duke in the semifinal game. Princeton's Chris Massey scores to give the Tigers the winning goal over Duke.
(10) 1976
Cornell defeats Maryland in the championship game. With six seconds remaining, Maryland ties it up. In overtime, Cornell prevails.
(11) 1986
North Carolina defeats Virginia in the championship game. Carolina's Gary Seivold scores in sudden death.
(12) 1989
Syracuse defeats Johns Hopkins in the championship game. Hopkins last shot is thwarted in the waning seconds.
(13) 1992
Princeton shocks Syracuse in the championship game. Princeton's Andy Moe scores off the face-off in the second overtime.
